I actually just ordered the Nexus through handtec (I had heard great reviews in terms of customer service and speed of delivery) for $684, which wasn't too far off from what I paid for the nexus one when it came out. I ordered on Dec 1st, and it's slated to arrive Dec 5th to the states, which seems very quick, but in line with what other people are saying.

I'm not waiting for Verizon myself because I'm on a sweet family plan on ATT for half the price I'd pay otherwise, and I travel a lot and the quadband radio really appealed to me.
