Using the stock launcher for ICS. No reason to use any other yet. lol

Where the hell is CM9 and how is it out for Nexus S before GNexus?

ICS source was released before the Galaxy Nexus was released in the US so its way ahead. It also helps the Koush is an amazing developer (the writer of Clockwork Recovery and ROM Manager) and he is heading the Nexus S development of CM9.

I'm starting to get tired of Moto not keeping up with other phones in terms of screens (the type they use) and not having features like pull down power widgets and unlocked bootloaders (aleast HTC started and samsung doesn't seem to be to hard to crack). The only thing keeping me on the droid train is the physical keyboard, but I'm starting to think now to start using onscreens as much as I hate it, even as I type this I'm using it because of speed and accuracy

"this program is not compatible with your device" does anyone know how to make this work? Some apps aren't working for some reason (using Galaxy nexus)

It's good, though battery drains a bit faster than I would like. I must have added 40 apps/games to it with that crazy android market sale.

Similar for me. I went from the g2 to this. I thought I'd have issues losing the keyboard, but was amazed at how light the phone was and how perfectly it fit into my pocket.

I agree with the Muay. Was shocked at how much i don't miss the physical KB and how slim the GN is.
I have another question. Been messing around trying to get Google Wallet and NFC working correctly. Have unlocked bootloader, rooted, and installed it. Have tried to use it at 2 places i know work with google wallet and no dice. what could i be doing wrong? I've got my default card all set.

Droid-Life.com listed an apk file for Google Wallet that doesn't require a root.

Ragnell, as someone who was firmly on the hardware keyboard train for many years, coming from early Sidekick phones to BlackBerry phones to a Droid 1, I can safely and assuredly say that the touchscreen keyboard on the Nexus is just as good, if not even better than my Droid's keyboard.

I type just as fast, if not faster, just about as accurate, and it has amazing haptic feedback that makes sure I'm aware of every key I'm pressing.

My only caveats to the argument is that I have to press "alt" to get to numbers or special characters, instead of holding it down like on my D1.

Then of course there's the wide world of Swype and Swiftkey which changes the typing experience entirely, but honestly the ICS default keyboard combined with the fantastic capacitive touchscreen on the Nexus is more than enough for me. I have not once been typing and thought to myself "this would be much easier on my D1"

this is the iphones fault, actually its the fucking stuck up, pretentious, hipster jerkoffs that all need to have iphones. unlimited data gone, new every 2 gone, all for thick rimmed glasses, keffiyeh wearing, barista faggots

I got my nexus today. My first new phone since the OG and I love it. I really want to root the thing but I'm too scared. The directions look easy but a lot of it still reads like a different language to me.

    It's stupid easy.

    1. Download Samsung ADB drivers.
    2. Install Android SDK
    3. Download Fastboot.
    4. Fastboot inside platforms folder.
    5. Open command line at that location: "fastboot oem unlock phone"
    6. Flash superboot.apk
    7. Flash clockwork.img
    8. FAP.

^ is not down to the T but it's the gist of it. Theres a download out there with everything you need in one folder (~25mbs). Literally will take you longer to download than to unlock/root/custom recovery it up.

    Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1392310

It's actually a lot simpler than it sounds.
