That is amazing. I wonder how long the battery will last on my Vibrant if I undervolt the cpu on it as well.

just so you no, not all phones seem to take Low volt settings. My droid cant, it was from the first batch tho, so maybe the evo is better off the bat ~_~ My droid still nets me around 18 hours of battery life so long as I dont go overboard with it(like I tend to)

edit: also when the hell is the evo going to get 2.2 stock? I just noticed last night that both my friends who have one dont have 2.2 on it. cant help but find that funny a little.

I'm so torn on which phone to pick I would definitely take the Epic, if it was already out, or I knew for sure it was coming out before the end of the month..

So for the summer my school lent me a google nexus one phone to use for programming etc.. the summer is almsot over and I have to turn it back in, but I don't think I can go without an android phone now lol.

Anyway, I need a new phone, im currently on at&t... I'm looking at the HTC aria or the samsung captivate atm... which do you guys think I should get? Or is there another unlocked phone that's compatible with an AT&T simcard that I should get?

2.2 update doesn't even show up for me when i check for downloads... the previous OTA downloads, tries to install.. then stalls.

I would've wiped and tried everything over but batch backup doesn't seem to be working for me in Titanium Backup. So i'm kinda blah about it now.

I'm still using CM6.

And there are different kernels for undervolting. I've been using Snap for undervolting on CM6, and I was using the various fps fix kernels on 2.1 before that, most of which included undervolting.

Dont get it online, go to a walmart/best buy to get one. Also, their full retail price is lower online, but the contract price is still the same no matter where you go, and you dont have to deal with the rebate bullshit.

Hi, kind of a nooby question, but I currently own a LG Rumor (lol) and don't know much about phones.

I'm on my family's plan, and I'm due for my upgrade now, but, I am going back to school on the 20th, and wont have a car so I can't really go to any stores or anything. If I order it from Amazon, how exactly do I get it activated? Do I have to take it to a store or something? There aren't any Sprint Stores or Radio Shacks within walking distance for me, but I might be able to take a bus to best buy

Really need to know. Amazon would be best I think, with the free 2 day shipping? And they'll probably already count in the MIR so I can get it for just $250 (ew) instead of 350 and waiting for stupid MIRs.

Yeah, I'm eligible for an upgrade on the coming tuesday, so I'm taking that day to hunt down a g'damn phone, and if worse comes to worse, wirefly. Do you know how it works upgrading from a store that's not verizon, do they just check to see if you're eligible then sell you the phone for 189 then I gotta go to verizon to get it configured etc?

so my verizon contract is up soon, and i'm starting to look at upgrades and whatnot. spec/feature-wise, the droid x looks really appealing, but the size is just horrid, it just looks too big and awkward for me. anyone know if there's a similarly spec'ed model with a normal form factor coming out from anyone in the next couple months?

With sprint?

If its with sprint, you can either give them a call to activate the line.... only need the numbers off the phone itself.

You could also do it online, if you have the log in information for the sprint account.

Droid X actually isn't that bad, its as thin as the iphone, except at the camera. Droid 2 has identical specs, is running Froyo, and only gains 150 points in quadrant, but it has the physical keyboard, and a 5.0 vs 8.0mp camera. Just play with them both instore and see what you like.

~_~ odds are if you have a custom rom you do no about this. But iv been testing a lot and I use to use BB .4 but after this past update to Sapphire I just had to change. Id like to ask if theres any roms others use that they think are far better, as of yet BB and this one seem to be the ones I change to the most.

it made it to 1.0 ~_~ and boy it shows. if you ask me its about as fast as a rom you can get, and what you can edit yourself is great.

few things to note if your lazy and just going to upgrade right away.

-its only for moto droid.

-unlike past updates this needs a system wipe. (any apps you DLed off the phone you should back up, then again a full system back up is always in order)

-after you install the rom, you have install the google apps file as well. As the rom does not come pre built with any roms that are not 3rd party(outside settings) failing to do this will mean the phone cant be used for the most part(Market is not pre built in)

-I still use setcpu, tho this one has a built in one I think(if your going to be cheap) I could be wrong.

- has a few fun dev tools, and is stocked with chrome to phone(not a big deal anymore now that its been released)

-it is very stable, Iv yet to have any real force close action, tho some say Gmail bugs out from time to time.

This is by far my fav rom, id like to ask what others on this forum tend to use.
Im really happy to see that there are some major leaps being made to the sense UI build as well ~_~ tho no clue if ill still have my droid 1 at that point.
