The first one my roommate lost, the second one I cracked the screen, the third one the battery fried the system, the fourth one the recent HTC update fried the system and now finally this last one, the charger port is broken. It says it's charging but the battery actually gets drained faster. I was like fuck that shit, I'm not paying $100 when my contract is up May 1st.

I got myself a Droid 4 on Friday, but I'm just activating it tonight and I had trouble getting my google account to sync with my device. I did some research and it seems that with the current generation of Android devices that if you have a password of more than 8 characters, the account will not sync and you will get "password doesn't match" messages every time. That is some fucking bullshit.

Why do I have a password less than 6 hours old that still isn't accepted, I don't know, but I thought changing passwords would work. It doesn't.

Thats odd. make a temp new user and contact google(email) and ask then is all I can say. If I find anything Ill post it.

for now just import your contacts from your old email to the new one.

you need root still but you dont need much else. it will deblur your phone(moto phones) Iv yet to try it because I always change the kernal/mod the crap out of my phone to the point that even if it was blur you cant tell anymore ~_~

like any file that will mess with files that need root read Instructions!!!!!

awesome, thanks, that looks great. i just went back to CM9 ICS yesterday and so far so good (04-05 build) but i have an untouched fresh install of stock w/motoblur backed up with safestrap - this could come in handy if i go back.

fwiw CM9 seems great now, a month ago i couldn't keep a data connection, now it's no problem. hardware acceleration still isn't there, which means most games crash, supposedly a lot of video doesn't work, chrome doesn't work, and all of a sudden opera doesn't work. ICS sure looks nice though.

Switching to verizon.... and trying to decide on a phone.

Droid 4...... Droid Razr (not the razor maxx)......or samsung nexus 4g.

I have not had a keyboard in a long time, but I would love to go back to one. However, I have no problem staying with a touchscreen only.

Scratch that, decided to go back t a physical keyboard.... d4 for me.

If the Evo 4G LTE is the same size as the Epic Touch 4G, I must have it. That phone is baller.

Edit: 4.7 inch screen. I just came too bad it comes out "sometime in Q2"... -___-

I found the issue. I had to disable the "2-step" security feature on my gmail account (god forbid that I'd actually want to take steps to protect my account). Mobile devices used to be able to connect even with the feature in place, but not any more. I also needed a consistent wi-fi connection because the 4G LTE wouldn't activate until after the servers were contacted. Actually it took about 6 hours for the 4G to start working, but meh.

I'm considering switching to At&t for phone service, since I'm currently spending $103 a month on verizon. Work gives me 15% off on at&t too, so I might jump ship. Any one have a reason not to?

I ask her also because I'd need to know of a few good phones to choose from for at&t. I'm going to talk to verizon about comping me a discount or something, since I've been with them for almost 9 years now. If not, well, yea lol.

Galaxy S II, galaxy skyrocket, gsm galaxy nexus (some places online were selling it for $450).

And when ever they come out the HTC one x and the galaxy S III. I think the one x is coming out in a few weeks.

this is pretty much my first smartphone since my last was a sweet ol' blackberry, recommend any apps or secret cool shit that will make this run boss as fuck? i've been writing directions on napkins before i go out for the last 3 years

Don't download apps till you need them. Avoid crap like Angry Birds, and any apps that are flooded with ads (drains battery life). If you want, root it and remove base apps that are just wasting space.

Unless the pro had been updated look into car chargers and ac chargers. Its a strong phone but was a battery drain when it first came out hope that it is fixed.

(I dont have facebook so I cant but I sent them an email lol, wont do any good but takes less then 30 seconds to post "no fee!" )
