If I install an apk on my droid, for instance a game, is there any way to fix how it crops the game? Some games either run very slowly, not at all, or only take up a small portion of the screen.

Are there any sites that showcase upcoming phone releases?
My contract with Verizon is up at the end of the month and I'd like to upgrade to something 4G. Staying with Verizon would be preferable, unless there's a really exceptional reason to switch.

Great, thank you.
Looks like Samsung has a event may 2. Galaxy phone.. 3 maybe!
Hey guys.
So my sister has a Galaxy Nexus and the thing dies on her really fast. Sometimes its dead and she won't even use it. I own an iphone, so I've never rooted or done anything really with android products.
Can anyone send me in the right direction, or list things I need to do to optimize her phone. The battery life is killing her the most, its so bad we are considering taking it back to verizon thinking there may be a problem with the phone itself.
Gs 2 has decent life I'm told may want to see if its defective. Rooting only once you no your going to keep it. Once you root there is a shot you can't get back to stock, depending on the phone.
I don't no about the gs 2 so maybe someone else can fill you in on that part.
Good luck I'm told that phone rocks and everyone who has one loves it.
Try getting an extended battery. Turning screen brightness down, maybe an app like juice defender can help. Some people say calibrating the battery helps. Check to make sure all the apps are not syncing all the time.
She literally used it earlier, the phone got to ~75%, she took a nap with the phone screen locked and woke up to it actually DEAD. Then it charges to full in an hour. This is a common occurrence. We'll take it to verizon tomorrow.
its trade it in. that is not normal.
yeah, that shouldn't happen, even with horrible apps running in the background. Also get Antutu CPU Master (or pay for SetCPU) and that will help also with battery life. (Far better than 99% of the "battery apps" out there) Can also use CPUSpy and Better Battery Stats to really see what is going on with it.
After rooting lol. Can't do any changes to the kernel till you have rights.
I have a HTC Hero S. Any recommendations for customization?
Lol you are right, everyone should root.
As for customization . Get go SMS, golauncher. That or hit up xda, on how to edit everything(I mean everything) but first root if you can and be smart follow the rules exactly as they say.
I can't root my phone. I've dropped it too many times and will likely drop it another five times before it finally dies a terrible death.I will go with launcher though, thank you.
