good ^^; ever need help xda is the place to go stickys are a godsend from them LOL. Only phone I never went to that forum with was the OG droid. I still play around with it(make my own roms port shit and yes I brake everything) but Iv always got back to recovery, every time... I really think its imposable

1) dual core is not a fact and would only be Verizon(lte)
2)4.8 in = close no no wash out. Look at the note it looks as good as any amoled super. Won't notice. This is why they used this screen. Its better on the eyes and with the size you won't notice.
3)ok will have to see.

5) the life on the thing is said to be better with a multi core. So hold out till you see it, samsung said 2012 was the year they planed to make a phone that lasted all day.
We won't no anything till we see it for real USA still is not set in stone.

1) Not a fact, yes, but simple fact is it would require a completely new Exynos line to do it...something not mentioned at all. And it would also be AT&T, hence the reason my Skyrocket is also on a Snapdragon instead of Exynos. Verizon isn't the only kid on the block now with LTE.

2) The crispness will be fine...my thing is hold any S. AMOLED + or Retina display up against a Note or GN and open up something with a lot of dark and white patterns on each. You will notice the whites on the non-plus AMOLED just are not as vibrant and bright. The clarity is fine, but you lose that brightness.

The phone is going to be great I sit think. The price to produce super amoled or amoled pentile is the same so Samsung went with it for a reason.

And rag ya its funny 4g is faster then opt online around me(cable)

yeah, I've hit 63mb/sec here on LTE before. Highest option around here for cable is 40mb/sec.

Jealous! Lol best I've got around here is like 25mb/sec and I was pretty happy about it. Usually averages 8-15mb/sec tho

Thats just fucking insane, it seems my gf has better connections than me, At her house I was pull around 32mb down, at my house i'm doing 17 -20mb which is still better than my home connection

it also depends on the phone for some reason lol even wifi can be effected by the phone you have.

but really when your pulling in over 5mbps do you really need something faster on a phone? Outside a torrent I cant think of one reason for that fast of a speed.

HD video for hulu and netflix is under 4mbps(and thats for TV's) ~_~ and no video game uses more then 1mbps

someone did a test for FFXI and it was along the lines of 300kbps? lol

the net for our phones is crazy overkill unless you tether. and even then its overkill. the more important thing is the ping at best iv never got under a 40ping(this is what we need to come down for video games to work)

FFXI can run on 56k so thats a bad comparasion, but there are alot of websites nowadays that are bandwidth heavy and takes forever to load because of all the shit on it

I hated the program, but look into a program called Orb.

I'm sure you will find better alternatives once you start there.

Also there was recent news that Qualcomm would have a LTE 4 core ready in the "second half of this year" which would be too late for the S III.

thats going to be a huge letdown if it turns out to be true. no point in calling it the SGS3 then really; Its more like a upped version of the SGS2 if anything; Id still buy it because lets fact it dual core @1.5ghz and a 400mghz GPU is crazy(and is only second to a few)

But that still not fact as the benchmark has a glich in it. If the core is not in the system yet it takes whatever is closest to it(that would be the dual core in the SGS2)

AnTuTu Benchmarks For SGS3 Beat Competition with 4212 Dual-Core



We found some interesting results when running AnTuTu benchmarks on our Galaxy Nexus. At the top of our list the winning device on AnTuTu is the Samsung Galaxy SIII! Now, besides the fact that the benchmarks show the SGS3 dominating every other device on the list, the other interesting thing to note is that the phone's info shows the SGS3 using the Exynos 4212. This is the same chip that is in the SGS2! At first blush this seems ridiculous... How could the SGS3 be so much faster that the SGS2 if it is using the same chip? There are two things that could account for this. One is that the AnTuTu benchmarking software doesn't have the correct ID information to name the new Exynos Quad-Core Chip, thus it is defaulting to the closest thing it thinks is the name of the chip (I have seen this with PC benchmarking before). The other is that this is some more advanced version of the 4212 chip from Samsung. More than likely it is the first theory, rather than the second.

One other interesting thing to take from this is that the SGS3 that is showing up in the AnTuTu benchmarks has a 12MP camera. It seems that there are more mysteries and questions surrounding this phone release than before. Regardless, if these benchmarks are to be believed then the SGS3 should be a very powerful device!

It's still very likely because, as the other articles have said, no quad core currently exists on the planet that does LTE. And I don't think Sammy is dumb enough to try putting a brand new, untested chip that was whipped up in a short time into their flagship.

No, it will be the Snapdragon, which sadly will just make this phone a glorified Skyrocket with 720p screen.
