I loved the newest episode. This show is on a roll. Everything was working really well in "Bully" from Louie's acting to the music underscoring the massive amounts of awkwardness. I can't believe they made that poor child actor listen to all that and then begin to say it back. Holy shit. I loved the segment with the bully. That was some real tension. I also loved the way Louie handled his date after she was disinterested and stalked the kid. The scene at the end where he had a genuine moment with the father was amazing too. That's what I love about this show. Moments that are earned and feel genuine. There's something so poignant about it.

This episode was also pretty unflattering to men, but definitely goes out of the way to say that it's maybe not our fault. Look at what we're taught about sex and violence? How do we know any better?

It definitely wasn't the funniest episode, but I enjoyed it. When he first started following the boy home, I thought he was actually going to fight him lol.

Episodes are getting awesome with this whole really-serious/emotional-while-still-being-hilarious development. Last episode was incredible imo. I used to promote Sriracha big time. Now, I'm spreading the gospel of Louie to everyone I can.

That or I'm a horrible person for getting hysterical during the "I'm sorry Daddy" scene. I doubt I'm alone though.

funny you mention that, i only just got around to trying sriracha since im not a huge fan of "normal" hot sauce, but omg. I've used almost a whole bottle already

Yea, there are only a few things I've really push on people over the years. Friends by now should appreciate that if I bring something up and tell them to try it, they need to heed my advice. Sriracha, Louie, adding an egg to ramen, trying beers other than light beers (especially true for the under 21 crowd that drinks pure garbage). All sage advice that is impossible to deny. Sriracha is perhaps the best of them all though. Welcome to enlightenment.

adding an egg to ramen is clearly the winner on that. i felt like i missed out on my childhood after that.

From him being depressed by the homeless guy's death helping him almost hook up w/ the first chick and the blueberries/sex shit, its like she knew this was going to happen? When she walked out in the nightgown I thought it would get into an awkward having sex w/ a religious jew thing since she had a mezuzah on her door frame.

Wasn't the funniest of episodes, but poignant. It seems like the season has more of a central theme so far which I'm okay with.

Yea, the opening standup wasnt great. Had a few laughs, but definitely well short of the first couple episodes (which to be fair really raised the bar).

I think it worked well though. I'm glad that it has these thoughtful episodes that pop up. Also, next week's episode is supposed to be amazing, but I don't know anything about it.

Another emotionally weighted episode, but Joan Rivers was funny. So awkward. And hey, Louie is up for some Emmys (but not best comedy? wtf.)
