FFXIII product registration code is 16 digits. If you got a first wave copy in your region, registering your copy of FFXIII will give you another code to register with for PS3 XIV from SE. That's the code, 20 digit, for the special in game item.

As far as the CE or regular.. which one are most of you guys grabbing?

I'm personally getting both, I want both the goggles and onion helmet but not willing to gamble on CE having both.

I'm in Ontario too. I've preordered CEs for other MMOs before from gamestop.ca and they arrived to my doorstep as quickly as those of my US counterparts; have had good experience with them.

You could also try going to one of the stores directly and buy it from there. I called my local store a few hours ago, and they said they'll likely have it ready for preorder on Friday and to call back then ('cause Thurs is a holiday).

<.< I'm also in Ontario (Ottawa to be exact) and if anyone knows a good GPU that can run XIV under optimal settings (maybe not SUPER HIGH but still enough that it looks gorgeous) that I can pick up at Futureshop or BB please for the love of God let me know...


The one I was eyeing was about $240 (which will be around $300 with the new fucking HST in place, fuck you Harper) and has HDMI out support etc etc... one of ATI's new cards.

Please PM me. God I hope Gamestop will let me change my order from PS3 to the PC: CE. Still gonna pick up the PS3 version anyway at some point but the fuck if I'm missing out on 6 months. I want to get in on the action while everyone is still new (well, everyone who wasn't in the beta)

March 2011 actually would have been absolutely perfect for both releases, and they should seriously just fucking delay the PC launch as well. By doing it in September, they're pretty much fucking any chances that myself and others like me who are only staying in XI for the story/friends chances of ever seeing level 99. I was hoping to get at least 1 job to 99 in December and maybe work on Masamune a little before hanging it up, but it looks like I'll have to settle for the end of WotG as I'm not paying two subscription fees, especially when 1 of said games is 8 years old and fucking Halo Reach comes out in the same month!!! > _ <

You register your FF13 game at SE's site and enter the FFXIV coupon number and you'll get a code in your email. you use that to get the arm guards.

Goggles is pre-order with regular version. I have no idea if you can get them with CE or not.

i got the code from him, redid my beta test application, entered in that code, saved the code in a txt file on my comp. SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO.

Good lord, I raged for a good hour and a half digging up the link when I was looking for it a month ago. Good thing Freelancer mentioned that XIII page -- such a ridiculous place to put what is considered pretty damn important to people playing XIV.

Decided to re-apply to the XIV beta using the PS3 code since odds are I wasn't going to get into the PC beta anyway. Will be nice to get a pair of cuffs come release day, and possibly a funky hat.


Also, Amazon.ca needs to adjust their price, GameStop.ca is undercutting them by $5 already. >.>
