Did you see the changes the the beta is making? There's a huge difference.

Perhaps a few scout RMT to check out the scene to see if its profitable. But it'll be about 6m-1yr before we see any true RMT. They have to see if the market is big enough.

It appears that they are differentiating between extra characters and mules (retainers). They cost different amounts.

You know its going to happen. FFXI purists can't get enough of the mule/bot mantra - its new and original and totally awesome to camp the same mob for 6+ years.

The need for a second character in FFXIV is even less than in FFXI. You start with a base of 80 inventory slots and for all we know we could have another 500 in the housing storage. Really the only thing I could see it for is if 2 people in one house want to share an account, and this way they end up getting a deal rather than subscribing with 2 separate accounts.

While I'm very happy with this news considering my PC specs... I'm a little upset. This was promised as PS3/PC worldwide release on same date. I know a lot of people that are planning to play on their PS3s cause they don't have a good enough PC.

The monthly fee is right on the money. I like.

yeah really, if the jump from beta to release is a huge as their jump from alpha to beta, the game should be just fine.

Release date sounds ok, its not like they announced the release date way back before alpha began. Going by what they got out of the alpha they seem to be pretty confident about the feedback they got so beta looks like it will be more of a test on the technical aspects of the game, rather than the gameplay elements.

I believe it.. The current state of the game is much further along than it was in the alpha client. Later PS3 release would suck, but I wouldn't want PS3 to be delaying the PC version of the game.

Since I've never did this in FFXI, maybe that's why I enjoyed the game lol. Also yeah as said, we have MORE than enough inv space in FFXIV that extra characters won't matter, however those who try to pretend to be other people to escape shit/ewhore will have to pay more. Balance of nature.

Late PS3 release? Why are people so surprised, it's common knowledge why something can be late on the playstation 3. Most developers have said it time and time again, the PS3 isn't a friendly development platform, lots of games get pushed back when it comes to the PS3.
