I think the only console MMORPGs are FFXI and EQOA (Everquest Online Adventures). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I think they are bringing Free Relms to PS3 eventually, if you can even call it an MMORPG.

Consoles are so much more user friendly though. I built a PC for the first time when i was 16, I was tired of fiddling with the damn things by the time i was 18. I havn't owned a PC since then really... yay libraries? and consoles!

When I played EQ I pulled a recliner up to my desk and it was amazing. My computer chair isn't nearly as comfortable though.

I ended up having to buy my wife a messaging computer chair when i got her into FFXI. She plays on PC while i play on PS2. We just today decided to wait for the PS3 release before either one of us starts, just so we can both begin at the same time.

I have a basement home office that I work from and I discovered years ago that the leather recliner is the way to go period. I do most of my gaming there. True story: I once filed an article for publication while playing FFXI at the same time and got an immediate reply from my editor asking me what Apple Pie +1 was.

Hello folks,

I bought a PS3 specifically in anticipation of playing FF14 on it. Building a computer that could meet specs was totally out of the question, no way I could afford such.

So today I learned that most of my friends, and the majority of 'serious' players will have at least a six month head start in the game, get to enjoy all the discovery and wonder of that new period when no one knows anything, and will be able to set them selves up and control any markets that will have any profit of merit.

My first gut feeling now is why bother?

I'm curious to feel how others restricted to PS3 access are feeling.

I intend on waiting the entire 6 month period to play on my PS3.

After dumping 7 years of my life in FFXI, I can wait a few months. Don't really care really. I have WoW to hold me over 'til then.

Im not saying you can't be comfortable while playing on PC. I know guys who run VGA to thier big screen TV's and play games on glorious 60" screens while sitting 15 feet away.

Gamestop.ca has the PS3 version of FF 14 listed as shipping on the 09/30/2010 but the gamestop.com site does not have a date. Just thought I would bring this to everyones attention. I wonder if the PS3 version will ship at the same time afterall? Typo? Time will tell perhaps.

I didn't know of the press release stating the PS3 release date in 2011. I just want the PS3 version to come out sooner ; ;
