Havent seen it up on Odin every time ive been there. Tried killing a few saplings around his reported pop area with our last remaining time but didnt have any luck.

Unrelated but not sure if this second drop has been reported from the T2 VNM here. Had 1 blue !! during the fight, not 100% sure what caused it, possibly Dancing Edge.

We saw it a while ago, like a two weeks after the update, so it has been up on Odin if that is what you are wondering.

I've seen no proof of Bakka dropping the Abyssite so I believe he simply doesn't drop it. We would have probably seen proof by now since he's been killed over and over since day 1 of the update. The JP wiki doesn't say it's Bakka anymore either.

I was hoping one of the two quest-given abyssite in Kon was Celerity but it wasn't. It's Merit and Prosperity.

Speaking of. I'm trying to complete the Azure Abyssite of Prosperity quest and killing a mimic did not give me a key item. I looked on JP wiki and with my amateur JP skills + google translate I believe it says it comes from a blue Sturdy Pyxis. Now my question is, has anyone seen a random blue sturdy pyxis in the zone that just happened to be up, like the gold ones that turn out to be mimics? The other possibility is it's obtained randomly from blue chests you pop killing monsters since they also have the same name, but seems less likely to me based on what my friend told me the JP wording was (they mentioned no killing stuff).

Is the big/small mobs of the same type a unique feature of Konschtat? I'm pretty sure I've never seen big/small mobs in Tahrongi, and I've hardly touched La Theine.

Was wondering this myself, especially because a few of the families in Tahrongi are already all small (sandworms, adamantoise, wyrms, corse(?)). I haven't noticed any small mobs in La Theine, and I've exp'd there a few times and done NM hunts.

Wiki says there are small, normal, and large sized monsters (on the general Abyssea page), but I've never noticed big ones, even in Konschtat.

My gut says monster size is similar to dynamis: Higher level mobs are larger. People are noticing after maintenance because mobs start out at lowest level.

I've seen normal sized and tiny mobs whether they checked T or, after killing them for a while, IT.

smaller mobs seem to give less exp more cruor, like a good amount more cruor

I've seen 2-3, i accidentally touched one cause it spawned over by where we were exping.

it said:

"Karbuncle has laid claim over this chest"

and i went to unlock it, it only had 250Exp inside.

Not once and we tried every piece of bullshit we could throw at it. Funny enough though when I went with a group of JP BSTs on my alt I not only watched full drops with no !! to be seen, but then went on to lot 961 and get the chain on him. The 0/11 drought for my main started immediately after.

Lesson to be learned: Tarubaby is now cursed for Borlax's abuse of the JP button :/.

Planned to kill Fistule last night but Guimauve wasn't up. Tried killing flans for 15 mins or so to see if it would pop. We were the only nm group in the zone for 90ish mins+, anyone know guimauve's pop condition, thought it was just a pre up nm?

I think it has been speculated that !! weaknesses could potentially increase the droprate but it's never been proven that we can't get all drops without it. The question is now can we actually get atma without weakening the NMs.

Went into Kon with an hour to kill Khal for helm and then Raskovinik (sp?) for a friend's club, setup was THF, WHM, RDM/NIN and two SAM/NINs. Khal was stupid easy as reported, nothing dropped. Pulled Rask back to Martello and began fighting, getting him to 50% is fairly simple, then the charm spam began. Now, he is relatively easy to kite around those stupid flower type plants near where Conflux #3 is, and also there's a single tree in the middle of the path leading into that dead end where the nameless npcs are fighting clinoids, and he takes a retarded long path around the west side of it. Needless to say, we wiped once, recovered and then killed it.

Now here's why I'm posting: We got the Blue !! to pop. I was dead at the time and from what I can see in my logs the only abilities used around that time were Gekko and Accomplice. Gekko had been used multiple times already during the fight so I doubt that's it, so the only other option from what I saw in logs (cause nobody was paying attention to that shit and half of them didn't even know what !! I was talking about) is Accomplice. Obviously, it dropped the BST af3 cape, which is rather nice. So take that for what it's worth. /shrug
