Does anyone have a solid strat for Kukulkan

Bring ranged DD...lots of them...for Kukulkan.
Rangers, BLMs...etc melees not too great because you'll probably end up kiting it no matter what you do.

My group just finished 4 pops.
PLD PLD WHM RDM BRD
SAM/THF SAM/THF BRD WHM
BLM BLM BLM SMN

It's a really easy fight. If your tank don't look at him, they won't take ST20. ~10 minutes fight.

Edit: 3/4 belts, 4/4 head, 1/4 skin with a TH4 mule.

Just finished 6 hour exp session on bugards, got 2 full eve popsets and a few key items (including kulkulkan's) towards a 3rd.

This was with primarily pickups, had a couple of linkshell people on chest duty. Seems that unless you really want drops from lower tier NMs there is no incentive to kill them for key items since you can get far more in even a pickup group.

took about 15mins was easy just watch the countdown petra and you'll be fine

How fast does he run? Could you have used an alliance of Mages/NIN with movement speed?

He paths really bad around rock most time don't even need movement speed for this if you nuke right, but if you one those who nuke right when its ontop you you will.

Does anyone know what lights Shadow Funguars can give? I'm trying to find an efficient way to farm key item pops as well as purple polypores to help people build up Konschtat fame. Hoping they give Pearlescent/Azure/Amber at least.

If I had 3 BLM/NIN or SCH/NIN (all with movement), 3 RDM/NIN (one with movement), 2 WHM/NINs (no movement), and 2 THF/NIN, could I kill him in under an hour?

I'm assuming the THF/NIN would help keep hate off the WHMs and BLMs with their JAs, and probably end up kiting. I'm interested in getting these quests done for my social, but we have somewhat limited job choices.

Maybe last 20% he starts to resist nukes though with 12 i can see it being done in 1hr or less

No. I think it's fair to assume he doesn't drop it.

I've been asking multiple times on different threads on these forums. Nobody has attested to getting the drop much less provided proof. I was 0/13 on it myself before I stopped trying. Multiple people have attested to camping him for the BLM accessory and none have received it. He's been camped for over a month now and still no one has even attested to have received it.

Further, the original source that attested that Bakka dropped the abyssite was a JP wiki site. If the original source was the same JP wiki I visit, then it no longer lists Bakka as where Celerity comes from.

I might be reading too much into the name of the abyssite but Celerity is a Sch Job Ability so maybe the Flan nm that drops Sch ammo drops abyssite
