Gigas are beastmen and there's plenty of them in La Theine.

Edit: Just checked and no tonberry on Unicorn.

I can provide a screenshot of the key item in my inventory when I get home later, but I do not have a screenshot of the key item being obtained. I 100% promise you that this is not fake. Several other linkshell members went back after our NM run and also obtained the key item.

They seemed to do Throat Stab but not Everyone's Grudge. Throat Stab didn't seem as potent as usual, only 1 death from it I believe.

They did Everyone's Grudge and Throat Stab but from what I saw last night is that EG is not carried over from your normal Tonberry hate.

Throat stab drops you to 10% hp anyway, so shouldnt have killed anyone. The attack afterwards is what did it.
I wonder if the HP buff leaves you at 10% + buff (so 20-30%)

It's not possible to die to throat stab.

Oh, trust me... give them a chance and they'll everyone's grudge lol.

I built up 10k hate messing with tonberries and cryptonberries, I solo'd a T tonberry in abys-konschtat this morning and he hit my carbuncle with the same damage I built up from the other tonberries on everyone's grudge.

That might make it a good chance the NM can use Everyone's Rancor....

For those that forgot its combines the hate of everyone in the alliance and has a higher multiplier.

this 1000 times over. i never reset hate in 7 years of ffxi. i use to go at them with the "its either them or me" mentality. kaiten x2 and hope its dead before it looks at me...

They're directly north of the imps. From conflux 8 if you go east you should see them a little north as you leave the mouth of the mountain pass.

They use both everyone's grudge and throat stab. Didn't see either move till below 50%. So far I have gotten normal tonberry drops as well as Forbidden Key, K seal, and B Seal. Killed over 25 of them still no abbysite.

Any idea what may have triggered Tonberry to pop? I'm about to go check again but as of about 3 hours ago they had still not popped on Unicorn.
