So I noticed the talk about the !! on NMs. When we duoed Khalamari once, he were nuking with Thunder III and would get the !! on the NM.

Nothing dropped though from what I remember.

Am I lucky to have seen a 5/6 droprate on the Helm from Khalamari then? Seems like nobody else is having the same luck.
Edit: Didn't pop any !!s either, just straight kill and hop back out to wait for repop then hop back in, rinse, repeat, ect.

Whats a good way to get fame here in Konschtat. Finished the first 4 quests (refuel, malnourshied, rose on the hearth, hope blooms) and 8-10 additional refueling but still fame 1.
Also have the picture, limule claw, and polypore quests open ; but after going 1/30+ with TH4 on the claws i'm trying to get other people's opinions on how to maximize my effort.

I think the point is helm drops all the time, dnc neck is rare.

Just so no one else needs to do it too...

I went to check if Tonberries were up on Alexander - they weren't.

In the spawn area, I found what looked to be a very out of place gold chest.

I tried to open it with a key, and it was a mimic.

Tonberries didn't pop.

guys any idea about when Tonberry Bedeviler i'm trying every 2-4 hour see if they pop but they are never up

I went 2/5 when I farmed it. But think overall the group went like, 4/7.

Something has to be done in the zone in order for them to pop. Might be better off making an exp alliance and just murdering things in there.

Best speculation is~
Kill over X total mobs in the zone
Kill over Y of specific family
Quest completions?
Kill over Z NMs in the zone

As for the exact method to get the tonberries to pop. Only SE knows right now.

That aside. Any server that has tonberries up; has the Tonberry Liege poped yet?

Also, full haste MNK/NIN w/ ~2300 HP is easily able to solo the T1 VNM in this zone. It hits for 80~130 and seems to have pretty crappy accuracy.

Also, I tried to fight it under Turul (the flying dragon), but it didn't aggro/link with it.

Emphereal mobs are also easily soloed, and can give some pretty good loot (I killed about 10 of them, one popped a gold chest with Water V inside, and another dropped a quest item that goes for 60k on AH... made a quick 200k this way). As an aside, the Water V drop was from Tahrongi.

Base XP for Emphereal Limule/Clionids seems to be 500 for DC, 550 for EM... I only killed one EM (the first one), and the subsequent DC mobs gave 505, 510, 515 and 525 experience. Didn't note exact cruor values, but base seems to be 100.

So far the only quests Ive done for konchat besides a few martello replish and 4 upgrades and hope blooms on the battlefield is 8 plate turn ins, some were blured but most were good. And im curently level 4 fame so its not 10 per level, how much though I have no idea.

It's 10 "points" per level.
- Initial completion is 2 points.
- Repeats are 1 point.
- Refuel and Replenish, A Mightier Martello, and To Paste a Peiste, A Goldstruck Gigas, and Megadrile Menace do not give points (or count towards quest completion progress).

Khalamari with MNK,RDM,BRd was a serious joke.
I even let it once hit me with mantle pierce to check dmg got hit for 1480 (no counterstance obviously) but I still had 1k hp after this I had no acc issues with carbonara.

I think the NM as a whole is a joke. Did it RDM/NIN x2 with 0 problems. Took around, 10 minutes maybe?

1 point for repeat can't be correct, like I said all I have done is 8 soul plate repeats and currently on level 4 fame.

Duoing a NM with two copies of a nearly indestructible job that are capable of killing it by means that give it very limited TP =/= soloing it on a job the gives it stupid amounts of TP and who's only real defense mechanism is evasion(which is virtually useless against the only threatening part of this fight)

I had only been to konchat a few times so withought knowing what mobs aggro/link etc I just went to khalamari, was going to try and take pics of it unclaimed but it moves to fast and doesnt stop. So I just said f it and pulled on pld/nin, took a few shots , got like 6 or 7 I think from the front and claimed( claimed mob doesn't make a diff for completing the quest but might affect fame?) before 2h etc ran out , died and RR by then it was claimed by a soloer so I just took a few more outside party and to the side a bit. The outside ones came out fuzzy, the rest were full credit.

Ashtaerth the Gallvexed should count for the quest Playing Paparazzi. Someone confirm if they can. You wouldn't believe me if I told you how I found that out.

Wanted to update on this. Perfect pictures of Ashtaerth the Gallvexed did NOT work for 2 of my friends. So it appears that not-so-legit method you mentioned isn't reliable either.

The dialogue Naji mentions does infer that one of the Tonberry NMs would work, along with Kukulkan(who is confirmed by myself).
