Kulk is really easy with rng or blms kiting around the trees. Straight tanking can get a little messy and just extends the fight duration imo. BLM> RNG due to the fact that you can just stay backwards and do damage though. Although a big group should have no problem straight tanking, just either backtank or have fast sacrifices.

You can get some height difference going (there's a big hill south west of his spawn iirc) and avoid the AoE spam for your mages while you tank it front and back if you feel like it. Makes the fight a little quicker because the BLMs don't have to be coordinated at all. Can send melee in too.

Regarding my current theorycraft with Turul, I tried popping and dragging Siranpa-Kamuy under him which did not cause him to drop down.

Later, doing an NM run I happened to notice Gangly Gean up but noticed that unlike Siranpa, Gean has a glowing aura - a pink petal aura that comes off him the entire time. It's odd because it seems unique to him and never heard it mentioned before.

I plan to attempt pulling him Turul the next I get some access to Abyssea-Konschtat due to seeing the aura coming off him and having killed it today for the key item. Like Guimauve, Gean is a lottery of those saplings so if it's up on other servers and anyone can try before I do, it'd be appreciated.

Someone said they had a friend aggro Turul by being low HP, anyone attempt that? I don't personally believe that report, but just curious if anyone has tried.

2 or so DD tanks, a healer, a bard and someone to kite off the adds should be enough. It's not too bad.

I'm on Playing Paparazzi now. I know pictures of Kukulkan work, but what about Eccentric Eve and Bloodeye Vileberry? Also read itt that Ashtaerth the Gallvaxed may work too? Can anyone confirm that these other NMs work?

Based on the qest text, only Kukulcan and Vileberry should work. Someone tested the flayer and it didnt work yea. Eve isnt mentioned, but i can try it next trip.

Anyone know if Gimauve is a lotto off the flans, or timed spawn? We went in one time and killed a few flans and he popped rather quickly, but had him just sitting up another time. Wanted to confirm before I started killing flans if he wasnt up.

Popped twice now by wiping out all the puddings in the area. Was not up 10 times when I checked and didn't know it could be lotto spawn.
