Abyssea - Konschtat Discussion

We didn't get a !! to happen, and didn't have anyone with a club meleeing it / using a wing for tp. I don't think anyone used any magic-based weaponskills, other than Atonement. Anyways, most everyone was busy with the Pustules for almost the entire fight. However, the first set of Pustules didn't come until about 75%, so there is some time to try to find the weakness once we understand those a bit better. After the first set died, the next set came on the next tp move. I think we had one or two times where we got off a few skillchains before the next set of Pustules. At about 4% or 5%, we had just one pustule left, so everyone went after the main to finish it off.

The flan did a "falls to the ground" with no xp or drops. I don't think the pustules gave xp/cruor, but I know several of them dropped chests; two were time extensions which we used keys to open. I think we just ignored the other chests.

Random question but were the pustules sleepable?

There's 2 entire family of Tonberry..

10 Tonberry Bedeviler
accompanied by an Ephemeral Clionid

9 Cryptonberry Occultist
accompanied by am Ephemeral Limule

Tonberry Lieje is most likely a Kinq Tonberry, that drops the key item..

and then theres Bloodeye.

so.. the question is.. under what conditions do the NQs start popping? and where is the spawn point for the Lieje? or if he is lotto-popped.. just how do you get the Tonberry families to start popping?

Same question goes for Viridis Wyvern and Ab'Xzomit.. both are whole families...

Yep. And it has been discovered that Coarse mobs appear in Tahrongi only under certain conditions. And since each zone seems to have whole missing clusters of mobs the tonberries and xzomits might be also. The Xzomits appear in the list between some Ley Clionids and Shadow Funguar so perhaps around F-8. While the Tonberries appear after the Imps at the end so most likely around K-4.

Does anyone have a good strat for the Funguar and/or Psycheflayer NM?

The flayer seems to be pretty straight forward if you have 3 quick stuns but I was wondering if there was a better set up than a merit pt and 3 stunners.

We haven't even attempted the funguar but from what I can tell Dark spore (conal?) is pretty nasty. Any additional information would be awesome~

Funguar is doable with 2 melee, rdm brd, whm, thf.

Soulflayer bring at least two stuns if you want to make it easy, but almost any setup is fine..

put them together since it makes Hadal Satiator appear to have more sense.

I dont even know where to begin to figure out how to get the Tonberry crown to pop Bloodeye. Theres a shit ton of tonberrys in the DATs but nowhere to be seen. :/

Hmm, I wonder if we'll get Abyssea Yhoator (because of the crystal /baseless speculation) and they'll be in there >.> ?

Any more word on Fistule? The alliance information from before was useful but was wondering if anyone else has had a go at it. Some questions come to mind such as the Postules and how often they spawn, such as after a TP move or a certain HP %. Was trying to figure out the minimal amount of people possible to do this since I am currently going with a two party alliance on Abyssea runs.

did an alliance farm on bugards last night and during the run one of our members claimed to see an npc carbuncle which promptly disappeared. he could be on crack but who knows.

I would speculate it is Akash (Ether), however it was stated earlier that this was located in la'theine and not konschtat... i r confused. if it's Pavan (Wind) then it'd be odd they would use carbuncle instead of garuda, don't you agree?

Maybe it was just bad luck then but it got super spammy w/ gaIVs at the end, had 2 stunners and still got fucked up a little bit.

Correct. You're in how HP a lot because the TP moves do a ton, but there's never been any actual danger in the times I've fought it.
