One thing I noticed... is that Five of diamonds speech log uses unfilled stars, not filled ones. But four of diamonds also uses unfilled stars. :s

Dunno, but there might be some tiny flaw in the speech text that cues you in which is defective.

This is correct. This time when I tried the quest I selected the cardian with the obviously wrong speech as well as the cardian (might be multiple) that had the unfilled stars in its speech. This time she gave me the completed message and awarded the abyssite of guerdon. Have not tried to repeat it yet to see what she rewards.

Abyssite of Guerdon grants a Lucid Potion I, and a Lucid Ether I when you get visitant status. That's some hot shit kiddies...

Just killed Cuelebre and got Auric dagger.


Stays in flight the entire time. Kind of annoying fight. Only tried breakga once. When it does Mighty Strikes, it spams Ocher Blast about 4 times.

I see you trio'd. Any strats? Is it like Tiamat? Did you kite to a safe place? etc

Edit: Also, I spy a nice little abyssite there. For this one, the bearer will experience greater fortune with golden treasure caskets in Abyssea. (For those who didn't feel like looking it up.)

Did it as RDM/SCHx2 and BLM. It casts Slowga, Stoneskin, and Breakga (did it only once the entire fight for us though). It's in flight the entire time, so all attacks are magic based. TP moves are Bai Wing and Ocher Blast only. During Mighty Strikes, you can kite it and be out of range of Ocher Blast (30') if you want. It only did 150-200 damage with an average mdt set though. Stun also surprisingly lands without any problems. It's not that hard of a fight, about the same as any of the other timed spawn NMs in abyssea.

That's assuming someone wasn't already killing Nauls and lottery popped it before your friend walked by. I have been through the Naul area once or twice and did not see any Cuelebre...

I looked just last night and it wasn't up on my server. After this was posted I checked and sure enough it was up so I doubt it's a coincedence and that different groups just happened to have been fighting Nauls for a while and popped it at similar times on different servers.

It seems like that's probable. I remember people started out saying Guimauve popped while they were exping. Now he's just up all the time. Same thing with Adze, when I first looked around he wasn't there.

I did some rudimentary testing with it just after I got. What I did was stripped off everything except Auric Dagger and Kila (190 delay) and counted how many attack rounds I had while hand timing. I'm going to try to get a relic dagger to test tp/round soon which will be better testing (credit to Rotaru for the idea).

First test: 30 rounds in 157.44 seconds which gives 4.5% DW reduction.
Second test: 57 rounds in 299.77 seconds which gives 4.3% DW reduction.
Third test: 47 rounds in 245.95 seconds which gives 4.7% DW reduction.

Not the most accurate testing, I know, but at least it's ballpark.

Checking via TP return would be better. Offhand weapons with a variety of delays and get 10 swings in on level 0 mobs (so they don't hit you back). Then post your job/sub, main/sub, whether you were wearing Suppa, and TP after 10 hits.

For instance:
Auric/Kila, 10 hits should get you 45 TP with DNC/WAR with Suppa if there is 0-3.8% Dual wield on Auric Dagger.
Auric/Kila, 10 hits should get you 44 TP with DNC/WAR with Suppa if there is 3.8-9.7% Dual Wield on Auric Dagger.

If you keep using different delay offhands you can work out pretty exactly what it is. Still, 5% is what I was guessing and that's pretty awesome.
