Only takes like 5nms to get to chloris if you're willing to pay the small Gil to buy the lower tier1 nm trigs from AH. Nonetheless with a non100% drop rate it could be annoying .. Gold chest spawns seem to be the better alternative but you still have like 5key items you need to stack on a single player.. Lacovie requires 2 lol.
One time I was attacked by an angry snapper turtle. :< Horrible.
With 3 Pop sets you shouldn't be scared to use 1 to do a dry run on the Turtle. Test it out and let us know how its handled. After 1 run you can usually generate a working strat that'll get the kill with your other pop sets.
I'd bring 2 pld/nin basic tank pt, ~6 nukers, and a misc melee group. That should cover the general realm of handling a Turtle.
Maybe xp a bit to build alot of Temp items then have at it.
Yeah, we were planning on getting a decent chunk of extra time from boxes today and perhaps giving it a go, but it didn't really pan out. Perhaps we'll try it on Wednesday.
Stupid Question but do Mistmelts work on Cuelebre?

On topic the fight sounded pretty easy. Like c'mon even if it's like Aspi+Chukwa+a side of ass kick how hard can it be? Just kite it around a rock or something, lol.
Inb4 Turtle with 250% move speed.
Has anyone had any issues with Adze the Gnat NM? We always have no issues with him the first time we kill him. But if we kill it a 2nd time on a run, it seems like its 10x harder. We still kill it, but its just weird I guess. Anyone else experienced this?
I don't think you really want him to land. He hits a RDM with no MDB gear for about 190 damage when he's flying. Bai wing can go up to 700 damage without MDB gear (+ it gives Slow II), Ochre Blast is around 350. I stunned him with 100% accuracy on RDM/DRK, and it's possible to stun the Ochre Blasts if you feel like it.
He only uses Ochre Blast after Mighty Strikes, and always uses it 4-5 times. He can use Mighty Strikes multiple times, though I didn't note the percentages. I haven't seen him try to cast Breakga above 20%. He does not appear to have regain and he may have a slight Regen. He runs faster than W-legs, but you can out of range Ochre blast as was noted earlier. You can also stun him and use it to gain ground, just kite north-south along the wall and he has some pathing issues. He also takes the typical 50% magic damage like other Wyrms, but he's not very resistant (Ice and Aero both worked fine at 78, I never tried anything else). Obviously his hits don't interrupt, so you can Stoneskin yourself as often as it's up.
I have not gotten the dagger (or anything besides horns) to drop yet, but I've also not killed it with TH.
Thanks, that's a really good breakdown. What's the absolute minimum group you think it'd take to smear that guy with little to no trouble? (In your opinion) And how much earth resist you think it might take to really drop the blasts and such?
I only asked cause the opportunity to whoop the shit out of it as a melee, and/or try more WS combos to get a !! to happen.
Okay, I just meant that stacking Earth Resist is going to give you 1, 1/2, 1/4, or 1/8 damage like a typical magic resist (if you've ever played BLM you'll know what I'm saying). It won't affect the maximum damage you can be hit for.
So, like, if you stack Elemental Resist and go fight Tiamat, you don't suddenly see his 250 damage swings turn into 120 swings all the time. You see 250, 31, 31, 62, 124, 31, 250, 62, 124, 31, 31, etc. If you don't see a distribution like that, then the earth resist you stacked wasn't doing anything.
I'd be very surprised if there isn't a way to "weaken" him and force a land but as Byrth says not really that important seemingly. Granted if it's an atma mob maybe we'll have to find a way.
