When we killed Manananggal last night, it only aggroed yellow or less HP. So just be careful of your HP in that area.

Not sure how useful this information actually is, but our group has killed about 9~ of the Thew Bomblet Mandy NMs.
Over this time we've tried a lot of things to trigger its weakeness, using a spell of every elemental, elemental WS's, trying different Skillchains etc and never really had much success.
But on our last pop of the night we got the Mandy NM to '!!' on three seperate occasions using tachi: Jinpu, even though the earlier ones didnt have this weakness. It was a red !! and the NM would be terrorised for 10~ seconds or so after it happened. Thew Bomblet did drop on that occasion.
In abyssea tahrongi right now, mobs keep popping from thin air called hungerers. 175 xp per kill 20+ cruor easy solo on BLM. Dropped 2 temp items so far, one was a aoe tp wing.
Any good advice on how to low man Chukwa??
PT setup / minimum required memebers?
Do me a favor, go to FFXIAH, type in "Regurgitated Wing," now type in "Glavoid Shell." Now think for a moment. Do these items seem to be related? Is there a pattern here with the drops? A synth material for a body piece and a magian item? Well that sounds a lot like Kukulkan and Briareus...
oh, good find
Quoting from the main discussion thread so it doesn't get glossed over:
Appears as though the Coarse mobs, Wiederganger, have special spawn conditions (as some people have testified earlier). It also seems like there's groups of mobs in the other two zones with unique spawn conditions as well. So now I'm wondering if
the "Naul" mob in Tahrongi has its own conditions. The area to the west of conflux 3 is very big and empty so maybe they could spawn there. They are listed in between the Beholders and the Pachypodium if that has some bearing on their placement.
Group in my ls got the Corses to pop. Apperently they killed a glowing mob in the area somewhere north of the sandworms in the open area right there. The whole group of corses just poped right after that. Going to test this some more with my group tonight.
Just hit level 2 fame in Tahrongi. So far I think I have completed about 3 unique quests and 15 repeats. His Box His Beloved, Weapons Not Worries x12, and Savory Salvation x5. And then Refuel and Replenish once if it counts.
Made me able to flag 2 new quests "For Love of a Daughter" and "A Sterling Specimen". Both repeatable quests.
For Love of a Daughter
Speak to Baha Mannohl at H-4 near conflux 5. Then check the Tahrongi Cactus during night at F-6 to get the key item "cup of Tahrongi cactus water". Now return to Baha for a 300 cruor reward.
Didn't finish A Sterling Specimen yet. Have to talk to Ohbiru-Dohbiru at H-7 near conflux 7. Then ask to help his research. Now talk to Kenapa-Keppa just a little east of conflux7 around I-7. He gives you a key item "bucket of compound compost". Head west of the NPC area a little to H-7 and find the "lycopodium rootprint" target. Check it to spawn a Rubicund Adenium mandragora mob.

That's all I could finish for now since I was on COR with nothing but some pants and a joyeuse. I'll try again later.

Some fun facts.
Random gets healed from dmg. Would switch between melee and magic healing him. Didn't notice any moves that did it as it happened so fast. When I pulled him he recovered Hp from my arrow and didn't actually claim the first time.
He was up walking around the corses? I sneak/invis'd and ran through them all and didnt see him, how odd... Time of day is interesting too, tyvm for confirmation.
Found this parse in Main Abyssea thread. It seems like farming the hell out of a family may be one of the best methods to getting lots of boss key items. Spoiler'd due to size.
Spoiler: show
EDIT: Oh, and this was on mandragoras.
Can Bhumi be soloed by an 80 MNK?
We killed it the other day - no key items... it went down really quick with about 5-6 DDs; quick enough to suggest I could solo it.
Doable, or does it bust out nasty attacks? I saw it do Mountain Buster, which did maybe 200-300 to an Aegis PLD...
I'd presume its no different than titan from what I've read, just find a way to block stoneIV dmg?
Be ready to swap in an earth resist/magic defense set, or gamble it and hope he doesn't use Stone IV. If he doesn't use it, he's like solo'ing a DC standard mob. If he does use it, you dead.
edit: it did repeated 1126 dmg to me, so you could survive it if you kept your HP pretty much capped throughout the fight.
