(Interested to know the answer to the above question too!)

We were at Venehinen last night, killing it when a Bhumi spawned on us, and walked off. 1 minute later, Quetzalli came wandering through the camp. I read about the Bhumi correlation as well, but was a bit confused if this was the case because we saw 1 Bhumi spawn and walk passed us, then Quetzalli come from his direction. Whether or not someone killed that Bhumi, idk, but that big bird is awfully squishy.

Okay, so I felt bad imposing my BST on my friends and decided to go with an alliance of randoms to Tahrongi for xp on it. There was no one in zone when we started, no Ephemeral mobs up, no Bhumis. We started xping on Mandies, and I started watching wide scan. First Ephemeral mobs started popping all throughout the zone, then Bhumis. Eventually, Quetzalli popped (after a few Bhumis). There were some JPs (and me) running around sniping the Ephemeral mobs and Bhumis for Abyssite.

We know that killing monsters is necessary to pop Ephemeral monsters and Bhumis in Tahrongi. It seemed to me from watching Wide Scan that the pattern was Ephemeral -> Bhumi. I'd suggest that Quetzalli is either a lotto of Bhumi or the next step in the pattern, potentially with Iratham being the final step in the pattern. Iratham hadn't popped yet on Lakshmi at the time of my xp party, so I couldn't tell.

So with 85 and double atma/buffs is Glavoid more realistic to fight? Its one of the last quest NM my group needs (and someone wants his shells for a weapon....) so trying to gather information about it. Any help is appreciated.

Glavoid was never really hard to begin with, you just need to not have retards constantly healing it, which means he's usually easier (and faster) with fewer people. Have any melee fight unlocked, turn when it readies a TP move, and only WS when it's casting. If you wanna play it really safe, have those melee only gain TP through Voracious Violet, Meditate, and off the mini-Sandworms in the area. Gorge and Disgorge still suck if you don't have bodies to dissipate that (he turns for Disgorge, unlike Minhocao), but other than that it's pretty straightforward.

How many bodies would you recommend for absorbing it given an absolute minimalist approach?

2 is fine from my experience. Disgorge seems to do 3k ish total / # people, so with 2 people in conal range they should take 1500ish or less. This is assuming you got proper merit abyssites and competent mages keeping you full.

I've been hit by a 6000pt Disgorge when I was the only one in the "kill zone". We had nearly a full alliance though, so not sure how much was actually sucked up.

I did a thread search and didnt see any lacovie strats.
About how hard is he and how reasonable would it be to take him down with 5~6 people?
I can see about getting others to help out for blue but it's best to just consider there to be only5~6 people.
How much earth resist is needed if resist tanking him is possible?
    Jobs my friends have
    1: Smn sam rng cor
2 rdm war(rdm better geared and war is a recently leveled job)
    3.cor( can dualbox a whm)
    4. dnc rdm(dont know his jobs tbh)EDIT: he has thf too. idk what th level so just safe to assume ill be changing to thf after anyway.
    5. me thf nin war 85 sam 84 drg 82 drk 80 whm 82 rdm 84 brd 83

My main problem is i dont have any hp+atma for tanking and ive not finished my mnk leveling+ skillups yet
I'm thinking 2 DD tanks brd cor whm and try to find 3~friends as the jobs spread we have for that lands people on their weaker jobs or the people without certain useful atma endup taking the most dangerous roles over people with the atma to make a large safety net. Earth carol + resist set if possible or at least an mdt set to swap in.

    4boxed it with WAR/SAM THF/NIN WHM/SCH RDM/WHM since that's what I had in the zone anyway. It's not hard.

Invincible resets hate on target at <50(?)%. Can hit hard and fast so keep para on and don't be afraid to cure. Go out of range during invincible if your MDT set sucks I guess.

RDM/NIN + anything with stona can kill it in about an hour, no atma/abyssite required though they'll speed it up. Keep WHM out of aoe, stona rdm if break(aoe) goes off. Nuke with blizzard, keep bio up, keep a distance, it's a turtle. I'd strongly recommend going for blue, I've gotten about a 70% droprate on goading belt with it(and am 0/16 without). With just shell, nothing is a threat on a merit-abyssite-less RDM.. just make sure your support keeps enough of a distance to be able to stona/erase them after break and Testudo. Ideally, given your setup, I'd go for:

    1. RNG
    2. RDM/NIN(DD/Tank)
    3. COR/WHM(primary support)
    4. DNC
    5. DRG

    6:00-14:00 - Piercing
    Dagger: Shadowstitch(70), Dancing Edge(200), Shark Bite(225), Evisceration(230)
    Polearm: Skewer(200), Wheeling Thrust(225), Impulse Drive(240)
    Archery: Sidewinder(175), Blast Arrow(200), Arching Arrow(225), Empyreal Arrow(250)
    Crossbow: Slug Shot(175), Blast Shot(200), Heavy Shot(225), Detonator(250)

You have all of those WS covered, just make sure you pop it within the proper time range. Once blue procs, players 1/4 can change to something useful and you can change to THF.

Any ideas for glaviod with those jobs then? We essentially get free lacovies/cloris leeching exp on lowbie jobs for this guy in exchange for holding glaviods and given how messy Said person's pickups are(what can i say pickups are full of gimp idiots but i still get free lacovies while semi afk so i dont mind too much) i'd prefer to just knock out his glaviod shells personally to speed things up. I already know what to do generally. I just wanna make sure im not overlooking something that a person whom has never fought a sandworm really doesnt want to get surprised by.

DD DD RDM WHM COR THF. Sub DRK on THF or COR and stun Disgorge.

    Need semi-competent DDs.

Edit: And eh, just read the wiki page on it and it's a bit wrong. When it uses Blood Weapon, it gets either a magical or physical shield (50/50) for the duration of BW (30s). You can test which it is by casting something like Dia on it after it BWs.

Any stun resistance accumulation? I might just use DRK to make the fight even more retard easy

Yeah, it builds up pretty fast if you use it too often. Keep to stunning Disgorge only, as it's the only 1-shotting move. Gorge can do quite a lot of damage at lower HP, but nothing that's killed 2 tanks in about 35~ kills.

    Some notes about Iratham

My group was in zone from about 7:30 pm eastern to 1 am and we saw it up 4 different occasions ; first was when we entered and last was a little before we exited. I would have to check on some screenshots for the 3rd pop (as managed to claim/kill it) but 4th pop was noted about 12:30

Zone activity was fairly busy - We were hitting NMs and murdering every ephemeral / bhumi as we saw them (20+ killed over the course of the run) and I personally turned in 6-8 bloodstones.

No idea if it is related to his pop condition... but I joking said "brb poping Iratham" before turning in my last bloodstone; one of the rangers began spamming WS and within 1-2 min said it poped. ***This could just be random coincidence***

I need more data but I was also noticing the ephemerals spawning in different groups of mobs whenever the day changed.

I now strongly believe whomever made this zone also designed Zhayolm.

At this point I think it's safe to safe to say all the caturae don't actually check for mob/zone activity. Having killed iratham at least 6 times now (and had it pop/kill mule many more) and thorny killing it more (I think) the only coincidence we could find was that it favored popping at night more than anything and despawning by 6ish. It might even be impractical to consider actually camping the caturae unless you're in the zone farming time or can just have a mule sit there. While it would be neat to know what conditions it checks for pop/depop at this point it isn't neccessary. It pops at least 4 times a day and if you have a mule sitting there you will probably catch one of the pops, not to mention that 2 good players can kill it and 3 makes it easy. Same goes for all the caturae really, if you're in the zone with your ls, leave a mule at pop spot, if it pops go take the 5 seconds to con to it and kill it.

I know this isn't really helpful for the general knowledge of the mob, but at some point you kinda just have to stop wasting more time on figuring out pop condtions than it would take to get what you want from it. However, when I start in on chloris farming I'll collect data on it as well just for science I guess lol.

If anything what more concerns me is what condition is met for depop lol. Have had irathams that only stayed up for 7minutes.

Myrmecoleon low man strats involving mnk, brd, rdm? Or a possible SMN, SCH, RDM mana burn style?

You can pin it on the rock south of it's pop spot, would make the manaburn silly easy.
