It isn't. It only applies to NMs.

Bhumi and Ephemeral mobs don't apply. It's much easier getting the abyssite from the NMs rather than camping those mobs, anyway.

i agree 3 people got Bhumi's Abyssite of merit last night but only because they pulled him not sure if its some or all Abyssites now odd days

Bhumi is an NM, it should count for alliance-wide abyssite drop. Ephemerals are not.

Just kill the actual NMs, they aren't hard, and will get your entire alliance the abyssite. Also, 15 min repops (*'-')

Go kill Mictlantecuhtli or Manananggal, they're both EASILY duoable. If you're solo, then Bhumi only giving the puller abyssite doesn't mean shit.

Actually experienced this last night. Killed Bhumi last night after he walked right up to us after killing Iratham. Puller got merit, the other guy in the party who didn't have it didn't get it.

I suppose the same thing will apply to Pavan's abyssite drop in Konschtat.

All of these are still puller only, same will happen with the abyssite you get from the tonberries in Konstacht as well as pavan, only the puller will get it, but they are dropping like flies now, after update, got all of them on first kill for a mule.

well, this wasn't the case for us when we were there killing these mobs right after update, we definitely had to kill bhumi like 8 times for all our folks that didn't have to get. same with the tonberry.

Well I had pulled 20 or so on Nyn, who had celerity, without getting a drop. I then used one of my mules to pull, and it dropped on that first one, and went to both chars. I just went through my logs, but I did that farming before I started running logger

Any possible low man strategies for Iratham (sans brew), where the group doesn't have a MNK. Preferably THF, WHM, BRD or THF, WHM, RDM? Would THF tank work for him?

have w/e DD you want to tank it sub mnk and use counterstance w/ gnarled horn. Swap in MDT as necessary. DD/mnk and whm should be able to do it.

Cool, thanks for the info, also one more question. Haven't really done much low manning of higher lv nm's. Would Briareus be feasible in this setup? or would a ninja tank or something like mage burn be better?

briareus is much easier than iratham. if your healers sneeze or something at the wrong time you can die with curse -- shadow wreck back to back. briareus however really isn't dangerous at all except meikyo, which you kite anyway.
