Iratham's only really dangerous move is blizzaga4 (combined with shadow wreck is worse but shadow wreck on its own is nothing major). It hit me on Nin for 2600 with unmeritted shell5, its fairly slow cast though so there is plenty of time to swap to MDT set (I was dualboxing and forgot to do so).

Considering how easy they are to get, I would recommend popping fools powder at 25-30% just to guarentee that nothing can catch you out.

Edit: thinking about it I may have had Magic Defense down on or something at the time of the 2.6k ga4.

MNK is easy mode but there are some NMs MNK cannot breeze through

sick of seeing every grp having a MNK(most gimped too) just for high HP and counterstance tanking

i agree that monk can't do all NMs (Ironclad and the v2 Wyrm's) but most good monks can tank pretty much anything and the only time you want a monk is blunt triggers with capped and quests ws's since you only need a whm for hexa

Last time i fought Iratham he got a Blizzaga IV off, I had Shell V up, it still did 2,700 Damage ⌐ ⌐. May want to stun those.

Luckily i had about 3400 HP so i lived but fuck it took me by surprise <_<

I actually soloed like 3 of the ironclads in the scars zones on MNK so to say ironclad cant be done by monk is very laughable. No brews, no stalwarts drink, no berserkers drink, no champions drinks and no food. MNK/NIN it can be done very easily especially when 1 victory smite chips like 7% of his HP each time.
The one in uleg doesn't count. He has gravity aura, draw in + tp move.... hes a beast.
Hes one of the top 5 hardest NMs in abyssea. Rani, shinryu, Apadamek, then maybe this guy 4th.

They're all weak. Ironclad Triturator is just Ovni taken a step further.

And personally, I'd probably put Pantokrator over Apadamek, though proper use of fool's drink/powder and attentive stuns will make severely cut down on the difficulty of these NMs.
