I 3box, thf blm rdm...pretty decent evasion (granted I wasnt using food), wing hit for 270 with shell4, hits for 200-280 no protect, moderate accuracy to my thf in evasion gear, tried to flail it with SA WS at 28%, no go. oh and terror lasted 45 sec according to status timer.
what quests can I do for fame in tahrongi? -.- Fuck that excavation one.
Unfortunately, until you unlock the next fame level your limited to that, Cleansing the Canyon and martello runs. Of the three, the excavation is likely to be the easiest unless you luck out on a decent quantity of sanguinets. Savory Salvation opens up on the next lvl tho making things easier.
Speaking of quests, I just got When Good Cardians Go Bad and the reward turned out to be the key item viridian abyssite of guerdon. The description states that the bearer wil be granted temp items upon gaining visitant status, but I'm waiting on a new stone to find out what I'll receive.
People thought it was would a seiryu mob or something. I figure it would be a wyrm and that follows a pattern seeing as how all 3 zones have a Behemoth(red one),adamantoise(spiky one), and wyrm(ouryu skin) as possibly being tier 4 bosses in their respective zones. I also see an atma with -breath damage so I assumed it came form a grand wyrm NM in tahrongi.
Those mob are cute lol, pretty creative reskin from SE.
Anyone have some tips for Coeurl NM?
Tried a few today, first one was cake. Next one acted like Satan's red headed sister. Spammed Mortal blast (seemed to fast for stun or didnt land), would insta-death our melee the moment they engaged.

Managed to finish this one up now. Talk to Ohbiru-Dohbiru at H-7 near conflux 7. Now talk to Kenapa-Keppa just a little east of conflux7 around I-7. He gives you a key item "bucket of compound compost". Head west of the NPC area a little to H-7 and find the "lycopodium rootprint" target. Check it to spawn a Rubicund Adenium mandragora mob. The mandy is pretty weak and only hits for about 30~50 with an earth staff on. Now just bring the mandy over to Kenapa-Keppa. Get it close to him and he will cast warp II on it to capture it. Speak to Kenapa again and he gets rid of your compost key-item and gives you your reward. For me it was an augmented Dance Shoes with 6 light resistence and Waltz Potency +1%...

Idk, maybe it was lag, but im 90% sure I turned in time for his WSs.
Maybe ill just bring a real tank next time for him and have him back tank to be safe.
I don't know if it was just me, but the cast time for his special NM gaze attack moves Blink of Peril and Mortal Blast seemed to get shorter as he got weaker. I had an easier time avoiding them by turning back the first 60% or so, and then the party started going down fast. We still killed it though, he's fairly easy to hold by shadow tanking while facing back so long as he's debuffed, preferably with Elegy as well. Paralyze worked wonders.
Best tip if can offer from a melee standpoint is to play it safe and face away before WS even if you don't have hate. You'll still end up firing your weapon kill, but be facing away. Otherwise, you'll be stuck facing forward during the animation which can potentially get you killed.
Also, he had no regain.
Pretty sure our group just started having DD's turn soon as they took hate, backwards tanked 'til it looked at someone else then continue to do damage. We usually have a mnk, a sam and a thf at least, sometimes a dnc sometimes another sam. Slows it down a bit, but we've had flawless kills doing it that way.
Oh, and Im pretty sure this has been mentioned before, but its not in the OP. We got a Metanoia Ring from Treble Noctules tonight.
Thanx for the tips.
Also, anyone else getting stupidly low drop rates on AF3 accessory items? We must have killed 20+ of the NMs that drop the AF3 accessories and we've never seen one drop.
Spira, I don't think this has been said enough: Your maps are amazing, and incredible helpful. Thank you!
your pop for irtham and Glavoid are mis-matched spira, if you look at the mob types, chloris is a mandy, and glavoid is a sandworm, meaning that the chipped sandworm tooth & mandragora item would be used to spawn irtham, which would make him the final boss. unless of course SE has no brain and makes a chipped sandworm tooth drop from a non sandworm mob, and even worse lol, make the freaking ToM emperyan weapon items drop from the zone boss -_- (not bad enough we already have to kill like 7 NM's to pop glavoid, where as most other people only have to kill 2-4 nms. way to go for balance SE. fucking retards)
Sorry if this was mentioned. But last night my LS got two different large gold chests to spawn.
First one had a Gory scorpion claw in it, the second had the Chipped sandworm tooth.
Also, we got two Baleful Skulls from smaller gold chests.
Thanks. I'll continue updating them as new info pops in until the charts are more or less complete...
I've noticed that gold chests are pretty nice in that other than free eq and synth mats, they also drop triggers for random NMs in the zone... pretty useful especially if people start picking up on 'endless' ally exp parties....
as for Lacovie / Chloris / Iratham.. i've absolutely no clue which goes where because of lack of various info.. but I see what you mean now.. Overgrown Mandra Flower should be from Chloris..
also I had no clue what Glavoid was cos I'd only looked in the dats and saw his shell as an item..
now I spotted this too
Regurg. Wing
This partially digested wing retrieved from a glavoid clearly did not agree with the giant worm's stomach.
That means Lacovie isn't a part of the key-item popped path.. or maybe Iratham isnt the zone boss after all >_>
argh..
