It probably is a ???, that happens to be next to a murky pond target. I remember seeing one of those ??? at the water's edge of the small pond near central camp and conflux 4 while doing the murky pond quest. In fact, I mistook it for the murky target at first <,< Though I don't remember the message I got, but I think it was a "there is nothing of interest here" or something.

If it says "Nothing out of the ordinary" or w/e it's probably not a NM pop. All the NM pops say something like "You sense an aura of boundless rage... If only you had some crazy pop item, something might happen" or something to that effect

the one at the big pond is Carabosse.. and the 3 murky ponds are used in a quest IIRC

Can anyone post more info on Carabosse? Has anyone managed to kill it with less than 10 people? Would be nice if its possible cause these gems are going to suck!

Is anyone able to answer this question yet? I haven't seen much as far as setups go from those that have fought.

I'll sniff around the ponds on the la theine run tonight, we might've found another ??? a long time ago but because its in the same quadrant as lady gaga's it might've gotten missed/lost in all the shuffling and moving.

I'm fairly certain murky ponds ???s are used just for the cleansing quest. I don't recall SE ever using any ??? for more than one thing...

Look for a point that says something besides 'murky pond' or '???'. I saw a post at some point a few days ago, but cannot find it. I'm fairly certain it was more than two words though, which is why I don't believe it to be the same thing. I think it got lost in the posts since it didn't mention what it was used for or anything.

I have 3 extra stones that aren't needed by my group's runs (not sure how that happened, but not complaining), so I might load up apradar and run around the ponds to check for any points I might've missed otherwise.

I'll have to look up the cleansing quest, but one other theory would be that the NM is part of the quest.

Naw if I recall correctly the quest just rewards crour, maybe an abyssite or an evolith or something like that. Nothing else involved that I know of yet, only thing I could think of being possible would be a chance that upon cleansing the lake karkinos pops?

killed nahn as a trio: 2 blms and a rdm. no ss's dropped nguul only.

initially tried to rdm/drk + nin/war duo but had a hard time dealing with stoneskin. while stoneskin is up it spams flood-"ga" I tried stunning as rdm/drk, however stun did not land even with hq staff and macc gear. my dark magic is not capped to 80 I'm only 77 rdm atm. we scrapped that attempt left and came back with revised strat.

the small lake makes a good kite path
blms were to stun floodga when it entered spam mode. the rest was a standard kite nuke strat.

blms had their only resist on stuns when stoneskin is up. we chose to run out of range of flood and have the people not targeted nuke its stoneskin down to stop flood spam.
took about 30 mins or so, and kinda were winging it initially. could prolly be done faster.
I had only a few nukes resisted as rdm.

SS takes maybe 2 am2. bubble shower hit from over 40 distance but for only around 20 dmg. occasionally spams bubble shower. similar to waterga and floodga spam. we did get a few "!!!" when blms aspir'd it. blms report that aspir gave ok returns 50-100 normally. Para 2 and slow 2 lands easilly.

prolly could just might make a longer kill. but it is doable.

Pretty sure it can be 6manned, if you know what to expect.

It can be trio'd pretty easily. BRD RDM NIN (all at 80 for what it's worth, nin with kikoku though that really only helps kill speed).

Double mambos, and it misses a good amount. To deal with the final sting move, RDM chainspelled. Not required, but makes the successful kill more likely.

Experimented with kiting Akash around, seems to have a slower movement speed. Easy to kite all over the place, in fact the only real danger I had while moving akash around was getting too far away and losing hate.

Looks like he was damn near built to be kited, I'll go and ask the tahronghi through how easy it is to kite postule

Well apparently your logistical skills are lacking then.

We were discussing the kiteabilness of a monster that could potentially be used to pop an NM normally unfightable.

Fistule is an NM normally not targetable nor fightable unless an NM is pulled towards it.

I could not recall the name of the NM and was too lazy to go search through 8 pages of tahronghi notes to find the name of one NM so I went with one of the ones I heard, though I wasn't sure if pustule was the linking NM or pet of Fistule.

If I was discussing the fact that akash, an NM that could pop/link another to fight, is easy to kite, and was asking if another similar NM was easy to kite, I think anyone with any decent level of logic would make the connection despite the fact I used the wrong name and know what Im talking about.

No I thought Fistule was in tahronghi, I recall a mentioning of it on topic of the whole tahronghi being the oddest of the 3 zones.
