I can confirm that Megantereon drops Bloodied Saber Tooth (Key Item) if nobody has already. Got it to !! two times during the fight. I got the key item, but no atma.

How much HP does Lugarhoo have? Trying to see if possible to kite/chi in the 90 mins time limit given. Does it have movement speed ect. Would prefer not to have to buy these, my poise shoes, lol

All known drops added. A NM remains unpopped, btw. It's down in the area where the entrance to Ordelle's Caves is if anybody is interested.

Apparantly you overlooked this post on the previous page. It's the missing NM you mention above.

A ??? pop requiring a giant agaricus mushroom is at (F-6).
* A giant agaricus mushroom can be obtained from item chests.
* Pops Toppling Tuber, a Fungaur type monster.


Just got the mushroom pop from a locked chest and popped with 5 (war/sam, drg/sam, smn, whm, rdm).

He hits for ~200-300 and has double attack and his tp moves go through third eye. Has a move called Agaricus that *seems* to be ranged. Agaricus did anywhere from 100-800 dmg on people. We got it down to ~65% before wiping due to mages pulling hate and running out of mp.

I'm going to guess that the cankercaps down near the pop area will drop the mushroom, we only killed a few and they were like normal fungaurs.

Each zone seems to have around 10 key items specifically for popping NMs.

Could be a coincidence but i was the puller for that NM. Not sure if that means anything tho, would need more ppl to chime in on abyssite key item drops.

Not sure if it was said or not yet (I only skimmed the pages just now; tired, etc.), but the key items seem to be a random drop rate (like those from, what was it, ACP or MKD? One of the two, if not both).

When I was in Abyssea with my LS for an hour, we popped a couple Baba Yaga and I was one of the pops; I can safely say I did not get a key item. I can certainly ask my shell on Monday night when we go who all got a key item from Baba Yaga, but from where I stand right now the key items seem to be an unknown % drop rate.

Edit: I just talked to my LS leader and last run we were 0/5 and he did a random abyssea LAT (La Theine) today and went 0/10 on the Key item from Baba Yaga.. so we're a solid 0/15 on it thus far.

However, he -did- say his group today unlocked BY's weakness.. they couldn't check in the log cause it got pushed out of the log, but he said it might have something to do with Light SC or light-based weaponskill(s).

I will try to collect more info on La Theine during our run Monday night, if we do La Theine.

We were 1/3 on Baba Yaga and 1/1 on Liege when we killed Carabosse, I dint get the key item from Carabosse. I think someone in the other thread mentioned they went 0/20 on Liege so its kind of wtf drop rate.
I really do hope that the pixie choker and gigas helm do come from Cara and Briaeus. If the boss zones drop good shit, it will justify killing those stupid NM's which may help people get their Masamunes.

The highest I've personally been on any key item I've attempted to get is 1/2. This does not include any Tier 2s but I'm currently in possession of 4 different key item pops, 3 of which were actually 1/1, so it can't be that bad.

Sentinel Crab is just a normal crab that is fished up. Nothing special about it unfortunately.

We went to konschat today, went 1/1 on the hypo and 1/2 on the wivre. Overall, I would agree. The guys that went 0/20 must be pretty unlucky.
One thing I noticed though in all the cases.

When I got my key item of Baba no drop, when I got it of Liege no drop, when we got it today of the Wivre no drop.
I hope that this doesnt mean that Carabosse or Briaeuss wont drop shit if they do drop the key item.

Just downed Briareus, I know we weren't the first but gonna repeat what was said before along with what we found in our fight so the info isn't lost (and kept in la theine thread).

Other than typical gigas moves used:

Mercurial Strike AOE magical damage (had invincible up at one point when it was used on me - damage went through) around the target - damage ranged from 200-1000~ wipes shadows but will not interrupt casting. Has a chance to reset an ability timer, I had shield bash/sentinel reset multiple times and my 2hr.

Colossal Slam AOE around Briareus range around 10~15 high damage 800-1200 ish which wipes shadows and will inflict a "Curse" status if hit which cannot be erased/cursna'd/sacrificed cures will do 0 while cursed but this wears off naturally as said before about 5-15sec later, has a relatively long charge up time and can be easily outrun especially on 2hr.

Used Meikyo Shisui at 90% and 28% - will do 3x Colossal Slam.

Recommend RNG, SMN, BLU, BLM for damage (maybe sam/thf but we didnt have any to try it with). Ranger was hitting 500~ on Slug Shots, SMN BP for 300-500~, BLU Cannonball 500-1500 - Temporal Shift stun also works nicely (guessing headbutt not so much but he didnt say). We had a blm party T4/5 around 400-500 damage unresisted.

Also can confirm the Blood-smeared Gigas Helm key-item comes from him (cannot post ss but if someone who can could PM me I can link it to you to post).

To people wishing to do the exp thing in La Theine, some general information about Crapaudy (the frog);

* High evasion, you need Pizza/sushi and on some jobs will still not be able to wear full Haste doing this. Do not try meat.
* Have no TP moves but hit quite hard (200~ a hit to DDs).
* Strongly link. The radius they link from seems to increase as you kill them.
* Cannot be slept with light-based sleep but can with darkbased.

Their exp/kill rose linearly similar to what was described with Mandragoras etc, so they can definitely be "infinite chained". They drop all types of boxes.

By "reset an ability timer" do you mean an unused JA had its recast set to maximum or a JA on cooldown had its recast set to 0?

It's been confirmed before that Carabosse and Briareus drop those key items.

By "reset an ability timer" do you mean an unused JA had its recast set to maximum or a JA on cooldown had its recast set to 0?

I'm curious about this as well. He says he was hit by it while he had Invincible up and then goes on to say his 2hr got "reset," so one might infer it resets the time of a used JA to 0, but that would seem too nice on SE's part.

I assume since this isnt a joke mob like a Goblin that when he says "reset a JA" it means Sandworm/Seed Crystal style setting the recast timer to maximum.

I think the key items to pop the Empyreal weapon mobs must be a lot lower. Between me and a couple LSs I've talked to, we were like 3/30ish on LaTheine Leige key item.

I also got Sharpeye mantle off the one that gave the key item, so there isnt a correlation between "key item and no drop".

We did however go 1/1 on the pixie key item. So maybe just Latheine Leige blows nuts.
