Abyssea - La Theine Discussion

I tried to search this thread for any notes about amber lights but couldn't find too much. Anybody have any recommendations for mobs in La Theine which give amber light, mobs that give pearl and azure light, and mobs that don't give ruby light?

Basically I'm looking to recreate this strategy in La Theine:
1) Kill mobs for Azure, Pearl, and Amber (~20 each), no ruby at all
2) Find a really easy mob that does not give ruby and TP burn on them

Frogs and birds give amber, ruby, azure and pearl lights. However, all mobs seem to give ruby light.

Does ovni instant aggro/descend on pop like sky gods/dynamis mobs? I only ask because I've seen my claim spell go off and not claim it.

Furthermore, if it does not, is it just remora or are people everywhere convinced that casting on a mob that hasn't even became targetable won't get them banned?

It drops white, you can cast on it in the sky via bots but it won't claim it, it will still drop white.

Oh sorry, misunderstood that part of your question. Afaik no, it still drops and has hate on whoever aggrod it.

Edit: I don't think it generates any hate at all. If it did tho that would be extremely shitty for obvious reasons.

Not sure if you were there the other day, was a japanese linkshell camping it for ~16h straight with a party farming time boxes for them so they never had to zone out. They had someone provoking it out of the sky and a million actions going off when it landed.. I got dia off manually after land when I was standing nearest the pop(and should have aggroed if it descended via aggro) and still didn't claim.

That leads me to believe it can be claimed by bots before it lands, or at least hate generated to ensure alliance claim. While I'm not one to bitch about botting, it seems a very unsafe type since it's in no way replicable without bots.

Yeah I feel that like that's a quick way to get banned, doing anything that's impossible to replicate without using a bot is an idiotic thing to do.

Oh yeah, BLUEBIRD or w.e was doing that yesterday. Actually, looking back I think you may be right. I know for a fact it wont drop claimed since panicy casted on it and landed the spell while in the sky. He only used stone1 though , so obviously not a lot of hate generated, and we ended up with the claim regardless. However, 2days prior a JP dropped it and I *think* I saw a dia go off before I tossed a slow to claim.

That is pretty shitty if that's the case.

i heard u guys go with 7 cor ;O

does quick draw trigger blue !!s, or did u guys trigger any !!s in both fights?

would make sense if blue !! indeed increase TH on certain items (like AF accessories and bullwhip/searing)

7 cor woulda proc blue !! more often and hence bullwhip?

this is my final straw of hope because i just went 0/13 bullwhip ._. almost half of them got grellow !!s and only drop elemental/khroma ores(jp believe that grellow !! trigger synthesis material)

if all else fails, then its bad luck i suppose

Interesting, are you RNG/COR? If not, what do you plan on doing after it goes PDT about 40-50 minutes in?

SAM/NIN SAM/NIN WHM RDM BRD

Some will suggest mages /NIN for hate erase when it Mighty Strikes but it isn't that big a deal. Spam dummy buffs so absorpion moves don't drain, dispel everything it takes, and just blink-tank til it's dead.

Curious how long this set up takes. We've been using a pin and doing rdm and some smn's, but takes about 40 minutes with 3 people.
