    Power Supply pin question number.

Okay, so I have a Dell XPS 720 (inb4 lol Dell) and it has a Dell XPS 720 Mobo. It's a 1000 watt power supply. Small problem. I want to upgrade to a GTX 480. I see that the GTX 480 requires a 6 pin and 8 pin connection. My PC only has 4 6pin cables. Since it's a dell mobo that's no longer manufactured, am I shit out of luck in wanting to upgrade? Or am I missing something here?

This is the final straw in me building a custom PC. If I cannot upgrade my video card, I am going to start a new thread to build a new computer. Thanks all for any input you can offer.

Edit: I see I can get a 6 to 8 pin adapter.. so question solved. I still may start a thread for a custom PC though.

Or make one yourself with 2 wires, solder and some scotch.

Honestly, wouldn't know where to start with that. My dad is IT and fixes PC's all day, so I guess I could ask him, though he didn't know a 6-8 pin adapter existed, mostly because he's not big into modern GPU stuff, and never heard of a card that requires both a 6 and 8.

It's pretty easy, I'd need to recheck the pinouts but it's probably one 12V and one ground so solder one from Molex Yellow and Molex BLack.
