If there is one rule you should follow when buying a new computer (or indeed anything to do with technology) it is wait until you absolutely must buy. If you can hold off and wait until the week before it comes out, I can guarantee you that you'll get a better computer for the money. Prices on components will have dropped, it's likely that newer products will be out (meaning more bang for your buck) and if you discover that there is a problem with one of the components when gaming, you'll be able to return it straight away.

    But that's just my $0.02.

It would work, but I think you could do better.

I'm not so sure about the RAIDMAX power supply, I know they used to be pretty bad. Maybe they upped their game lately though. With that build you don't need 700+ watts, you could go for a better quality lower watt PSU.

For around $25 more you could get an HD 5770 video card, which is quite a bit better than a GTS 250.

That a decent enough one? I'm just worried about it fitting inside the case and not hitting the other side of it.

Edit: I know the PSU is pretty high in terms of wattage, I do plan on upgrading this PC over time, not having to worry about getting a new one will be nice knowing it can handle whatever I throw at it.

Cheaper, and XFX is a better company. Double lifetime warranty. Best you could get for this pricerange, if you go to about 250 you should be looking at 465/5850/470s priced in that order.

    +1 for XFX ATI cards.

Don't worry about PSUs fitting in your case. Due to standardized form factors of cases, motherboards, and PSUs, they're built to fit.

I like this card but I have an EVGA 680i SE motherboard. Can I still use it? I've read that crossfire isn't possible on the nVidia chipset unless I do some driver hacks but one card should be fine, right?

Would like to update for everyone. I upgraded the hard-drive to 1TB 7200RPM, and the video card to an ATI Radeon 5770 HD 1GB, I got all the parts in today. End total was about 740$ benchmarked for FFXIV on Mi'Qote for a 4290 rating. Thought I'd share with you guys! See ya on FFXIV!

Edit: Not yet overclocked. Also, everything is an extremely tight fit in the mid-tower I have, I suggest going with a high-tower.
