Any of those reports are only going to tend to show things that got reported officially in some way. If, for example, your car had some severe lot damage and the dealer simply had their body shop/dent repair/etc take care of it, then it likely wouldn't show. If it was in an actual accident that was reported, then sure.
My parents had a van they bought new years ago. When they sold it, turns out, there was bondo in one of the side doors, despite them never having been in an accident in it. Kind of thing happens.
Was gonna say to check about simply getting the door resprayed, versus insurance fraud (few hundred bucks is cheap compared to legal fees), but it sounds like it's working out anyway =P
