It was the same thing with Andrea, Hershel, T-Dogg, and other people with stupid deaths. It's always some random crap coupled with temporary retardation of focus or thought and then bitten.

Seriously. I was expecting him to become Barret with a Hammer Arm at that point when he got bit because he was serious about doing what it took to survive. I get that the writers wanted to show that, despite his newly-aquired tough talk and outlook, he couldn't change who he was inside, and that's fine! He can be a tough-talking inner-softie that still hammers the shit out of zombies in the meantime. He didn't have to die at this point. That was literally Barret. A hulking badass who guns down the bad guys, but plays with and tosses his daughter around like a loving father should when he gets home. Tyrese could have been the morale and psychological cheerleader for the group while still being able to wade into the fray and save who needs savin'.

Hell, they need muscle at this point.

There are so few people right now that they've all but ensured that Rick's gang will actually find a decent amount of people in some civilization before the end of this season. You can't end a season with all but 3 people still alive because you wanted to continuously "stick it to those online snarks" who predict this and that.

He does. He's like Vince McMahon; he hates when "smarks" try to predict where he's going with things. That doesn't make for good writing, though. Write because you have a story to tell, not to try to throw swerves to counter people's thoughts.

Yeeeeep, and that's just not good writing. There's no need to "stick it to" anyone. Just chortle at the comments and replies (like everyone else before you), and carve your legacy in history. He's sitting on a goldmine with this show. Just do it right. Stay true to your vision, not some swerve-centric fanfic where you change every chapter based on the feedback/vitrol of certain readers.

TBH, between the way Beth and Cutty/Z have gone out, I think i'm finally dropping this rotting turd. This show had so much potential back when we were in Season 1 and there were some really beautiful moments. But now, fucking really? Beth was bad enough, but then Tyreese in the most retarded and inexplicable death yet? Yeah, fuck this; i'm out.
