Just finished compendium #3, which ends with the "border" set up by the Whisperers (issue #144). That was intense. I think they're deliberately setting up bigger cliffhangers for the compendium ends, because they want me to read the comics more than once every four years. I might have to do that, but there would literally be years' worth of time with just slow development. Which works fine when you have the whole book, but not so much when you get them once a month.
I knew about Glenn, but had somehow stayed unspoiled on Abraham, and they both died in the first four issues of Compendium #3. That was rough. Also, I see what the big deal about Negan is. And I love the fact he's still chillin' in the basement.
It's also curious to me that instead of Denise being a skilled surgeon, she's never even lifted a scalpel. Curious why they took that creative direction.
