Nothing like that that I can think of immediately, but it makes me wonder why Rick didn't cut off the infected limb then and there if that is what actually happened. That is something they've done in the past.

One thing is for sure he keeps on fidgeting with it so it has some sort of significance.

everyone is already infected. The bites are what is lethal not the blood for whatever reason.

Most likely he just did some severe damage to the hand that might bring him more in line with his comic counterpart without actually losing the hand but losing some of the functionality of it instead.

It's been mentioned on Talking Dead several times that it open wounds/cuts/blood doesn't matter as long as it's treated. Everyone already has the zombie virus in them. Bites just cause death from infection from all the gross bacteria that happens when a corpse chomps on you.

I mean Michonne even made a comment this ep about being covered in so much blood that you dont know whose it is.

Yeah but now anytime someone gets a walker on top of them and someone stabs a giant hole in it's head there would be the risk of blood falling into the other persons mouth or entering the body any other number of ways.

I'm on the side of Glenn using Nicholas as a cover too. I really couldn't see the shirt, but the walkers hands looked kinda far from his face. Also, see what happens when you spare these assholes lives, Morgan? Dumb fuck.

Here's what I always wonder in regards to this.

--Does the walker blood not carry this bacteria but only their saliva? Since we know for certain they have walker blood to open wound contact often.
--With all the down on the ground face to face encounters with them over the years they'd have gotten saliva in their mouth or eyes certainly by now.
--Does the saliva have to enter the bloodstream directly, maybe it dies when exposed to oxygen? Like the HIV virus does. However oxygen would enter their mouth when they go to bite.
--Bites seem to have a 100% success rate at turning people though unless the limb is cut off when applicable. Maybe they have a way to inject bacteria into people that triggers the dormant infection causing it to turn them.
--If it's just dirty walker bacteria then why even when a recently turned person bites someone they turn, even though they technically are probably still pretty clean.

I think the bottom line is these are just questions we aren't supposed to ask. I gave up trying to figure out the whole biting thing awhile ago. It's doubtful even the creators have an explanation that makes sense.

This is exactly what will piss me off if Glenn is dead. I love the character and don't want him to die ever, but if he's going to go out, the way he did in the comics is infinitely better than this episode. I'm so goddamn sick of them just flippantly killing characters. Give them some epic deaths, sacrifice moves, shows of power for a new big bad, etc.

And goddamn how is it not NORMAL POLICY to be looking around AT ALL TIMES!? The newbie deaths at the start were so goddamn stupid.
