I think they skipped over the fire escape because they weren't expecting that to be a dead end and by the time they realized it was, the horde was blocking access to it.

Really hope Glenn is still alive. Just didn´t feel like a proper death scene given his badass character. Guy needs to go out in style if at all. Also, Rick is THE fucking badass. Loved how he stomped those 2 guys jumping him in the RV then proceeds to pick up the one dude´s AK to empty the mag through the side panel of the RV to take out the other 3 shits trying to gank him. I was like...yeah, ya´ll have NO IDEA who the fuck you´re trying to mess with. Needs more of that.

Are you trying to apply real-world biology to zombie media? Just think of it like snake venom. Virus reanimates you and makes your salivary glands secrete some sort of venom so that your bites kill. Scratches, blood, etc doesn't "infect" you. Although blood not infecting you could have implications about them being edible (touched on very lightly with the cannibals eating Bob after he had been bitten), I think it's generally avoided because, aside from being former humans, they're also literally rotted meat.

I don't think he's dead, but if he isn't I'm going to be pretty pissed. It's one thing to show this happening when someone else is watching. Then there's a purpose to obscuring camera angles: making the characters reasonably think he's dead and act as such. This (assuming he lives) is just a trick to make the viewers think he's dead, who don't have any interactivity within the story, which is just bad storytelling.

Yeah it's pretty silly to try applying real world logic which is why I gave up. I've basically accepted the fact that they gain some sort of venom injection ability when they bite like a snake. It couldn't just be the saliva as I'm sure they would have had some fall into their mouth or an open cut at some point. Maybe all saliva carries it though and they just never embrace it because it wouldn't make good tv if a dude was like, "Yo I got spit in my cut FML."

There are some venoms that are harmless when ingested but will kill if they get into the blood. I know some African tribes that hunt giraffes use those poisons to slow and weaken the animal, chasing it for a few days until it dies and the meat is still fine to eat.

IMO I think he'd have a slim-to-none chance. As someone has already mentioned, his limbs and exposed head would be at extremely high risk of being bitten. Nicholas wasn't a fat ass, so he can't cover that much of him. But we already know we can't apply logic to these writers, so just accept he's coming back as it is.
