I forget and am probably getting zombie plots mixed up between other shows/movies, but is this not the same show where being covered in loads of dead/zombie tissue makes you 'almost invisible' to them?

I remember people wrapping themselves up in zombie guts/innards/etc and being able to sneak by them, but it could be from another story/movie/show.

If that did happen in the walking dead, it would seem to be a pretty easy/obvious way to explain his survival.

Yeah, they did that in the first season to escape the town when they got trapped making a supply run. Michonne in Season 3 also kept a couple of jawless and armless zombie pets to blend in with the zombies so they would ignore her as well.

Money is on that then, guy is already covered in blood/guts/etc. They did a good job of making sure you saw it squirting/spilling all over the him (both to probably trick people on his death & cover their asses when it turns out he's gets saved by the gut-camouflage).

The inherent problem I have with this is that in all other previous iterations of it, they've been using walker blood and guts. The walkers aren't constantly attacking each other, because they somehow know the difference between fresh and rotten meat. Getting smothered in fresh guts should essentially make Glenn a giant fucking homing beacon for them, at least for a few hours until it goes a little more fetid.

The inherent problem I have with this is that in all other previous iterations of it, they've been using walker blood and guts. The walkers aren't constantly attacking each other, because they somehow know the difference between fresh and rotten meat. Getting smothered in fresh guts should essentially make Glenn a giant fucking homing beacon for them, at least for a few hours until it goes a little more fetid.

Technically, the guy getting torn into pieces on top of him is almost already a walker (since he capped himself). I don't recall exactly how long, but it doesn't take much time after death for someone to reanimate as a walker. It probably takes more minutes than seconds throughout most of the show, but I'm sure they'll shrink it here. In which case, his friend's guts 'qualify' as safe guts, or at least will by the time they're done filleting him (or however the plot ends up making it convenient).

Didn't he shoot himself in the head? Doesn't that keep the transfer from happening?
