I'm really bothered by some of the decisions this episode. For example, they had two walkers with them in the pet store, Could have taken their guts to camouflage themselves for an easy escape. Michone knows that, she taught it to Andrea. Why not use it? Hell, they could have done it WAY earlier in the forest too.

In their situation, I'd always keep a jar of Walker Juice ® on-hand for easy access.

I thought about it like that too, but what if the only reason they didnt clear it out then was because they were still going over the plan, and werent expecting to have to execute it right away, and were going to clear it on the way back?

So another reason we can't apply real world knowledge to zombie shit is because after a few months none of the zombies would be able to walk anywhere because there would be no replacement calcium in the bones. The bones would rot and not be able to hold up their weight. Would take like a year or two and you'd never have to worry about zombies again... just stab people in the brain after they die and never have to worry about it again...

Aye, the entire concept of a zombie is stupid. Even if you have a virus re-animating your brain, you still need all the living tissue/cells/attachments for your limbs to function.

One of my coworkers constantly bemoans the lack of wildlife in the show, and he's right to a point. Left unchecked, there would be plenty of deer/foxes/bears, etc. Deer especially, because a zombie ain't catching one of those fuckers. Also, they've only shown it, like, once...but there should be packs of feral dogs running around.

Zombie apocalypse ravages civilization, shuts all major units down and kills 95% of the population.
A couple years later the zombies are now all dead, but animal populations are now increasing much faster than human population, which has used up most its ammunition, cannot manufacture anymore and doesn't have generations of normal hunting knowledge.

By year 5-6 I'd bet wolf and bear populations would begin to peak, which would be REALLY tough for gun-less humans to deal with. Could be a really awesome story.
