I don't think so. First season it sucked because everyone was waiting for the big moment but now after hearing Kirkman out on various interviews it's cool that they're changing the story up a bit. Same direction, two different canons. They're both enjoyable on their own level, I wouldn't deprive myself of the graphic novel if I were you. Season 2 opener was great and I'm not disappointed at all.

Does anyone know a good place to order the comics online? I saw one site that was $5 +shipping I think, and the rest were $9+ and shipping. I missed 86 and 89 and the store didn't have any in when I stopped by.

It's a bit slow now and soap opera-ish but it ramps up to a whole other level of drama at the end.

I don't mind it though, if you put yourself in their shoes this level of tension is nuts. It's complete psychological warfare and stress and I'm glued. The action stuff was cool before this really subtle stuff is just on the level for me right now. Not sure why I spoilered this but anyways I love the comic right now.

All I can say about the first episode of this season is that these people have zero sense of self-preservation, self-defense, and strategy whatsoever. They got so easily split up on the highway. Zero spotters and flankers. It was not any shock at all that they got attacked.

Well they had oldylocks up top spotting but somehow he only noticed one when it was 20 feet away then the other 100 appeared out of nowhere when there was a fuckton of open ground to see em coming. I enjoyed the episode, but that one part made me groan.

Oh, and zombies chilling in the pews too, but meh.

I didn't understand why they dicked about in the church for as long as they did when they were supposed to be looking for a child. Plus, two prayer soliloquies? Two?

And a bullet that goes through the body of a deer and Shane? That'd be a massive calibre.

I just watched a promo for the whole season and there's a shot of Rick and some new dude carrying an unconscious Daryl and this makes me sad.

Don't really need that large of a caliber to over-penetrate like that. Common rifle calibers like 30-06 and 308 will do that, especially if the round went through the lungs, and they aren't really "massive".

I'm a fan, I get it. Acting, writing, photography is brilliant. Fact I can sympathize with some issues presented making me not feel so foreveralone.jpg like 90% of you sad fucks adds quite a bit to the drama. I was once against the stray from the source material and I'm now all for it. I can't wait to see how this show progresses. I love the slow southern drawl in presentation of character development against the heavier paced "give it to me now" plot advancement. Show is great, can't wait for more.

Also, big fan of Talking Dead as it breaks the fourth wall of the show / comic and adds a touch of humor to the serious material and removes the fans in a humorous way.

Well so far it's just been friends of Hardwick's on the show. That's not to say that, that's how it's going to stay, but I'm sure it was hard to ask his old D&D buddies to do a show about zombies.
