Well, no the wall got breached not the front gate. With the exception of plotkai, the front gate would be the weakest area and most likely area to be breached from a horde, right? The thinking might be that if you have a horde coming in through the front gate it would be difficult to drive through them to get away. So maybe they park them outside with the intention hitting the exit on another side to access the cars. Plus, each time you want to use a car, you'd have to open a big ass gate that leaves you exposed for a while. Maybe if they had a double gate system I could see parking some inside and some outside.
Never mind that having a vehicle inside the walls right now wouldn't really help. You can't drive through that wall of walkers and even if you could you'd never get the gates closed again if you opened them. They would need the setup they had at the Prison and even that would probably overflow too quickly to manage.
Oh, you mean that exact idea Maggie had to sneak out a few episodes ago? The one that they basically said "Yeah, it might work, but it's also way too risky" to?
They don't, but they know it's a human. There were only 3 balloons, so for there to be 6 now means someone alive out there inflated them and made more, as opposed to a walker randomly knocking them away. And probably someone who wanted to signal them to let them know they were there. That's a pretty short list of people. The rest is just up to what they're hoping for.how they know 6 green ballon is glenn?
Is this season over yet? Been actually not watching it for, no particular reason. Kinda feel like just binge watching it. Also haven't actually been in this thread since last season.
Mid-season finale is this weekend.
But none of those answered anything...was there any negative to keeping the cars in Alexandria?
Also the gate isnt exactly a slow mechanical gate that takes half a minute to open, and another half a minute to close. We've seen them open and close the gate in seconds.
Didn't Dr Dre and his people drive a truck inside when they first showed up?

Trying to open and close the gate with all those walkers pouring through it would be like trying to stop the tide from coming in. For all we know the cars they originally took were kept inside and they don't have any other vehicles. Beyond that, leaving all your vehicles inside the walls is pretty stupid because if you ever get stuck outside or are forced out of the town, you now have no readily available transportation.
I think what bugged me the most was how inconsistent some of the characters are portrayed. Rick is prolly the last person to take chances, yet he'll hand the kid whose father he killed a gun, and teach him to shoot it. Him and Carl are just asking to get shot.
Also Enid annoyed me as much as she annoyed Glenn. Just survive, just survive, etc. Then try and take her back and she freaks out. "Everyone's gonna die there's no point AHHHHHHHHHH". Bitch what happened to surviving?
I don't think you understand her character. It isn't about surviving. It's that she avoids attachment because as long as she can survive she doesn't have to care what happens to anyone else.
Gotcha. Seems like she kinda tries, as shown with Ron and Carl, then says fuck it and bails.
Yea exactly.
Yeah, Enid is at the stage where she doesn't want to feel loss again, so anytime she feels herself getting close to someone/something she gets the fuck out. That's why she leaves the walls all the time, so she doesn't become attached to the place.
Not sure if it was mentioned here or not, but didn't Glenn pull a magical 180 after that fall?
Someone needs to find some flowers for this little fucker to stare at.
Very anticlimactic for a mid-season finale, but I'm letting it slide because the first couple episodes this season were nuts.
There was a post credits scene btw.
