I think what bugs me more is mayor lady somehow getting out of the city.

That bugged me too. She was surrounded by zombies when she went down, and she should have gotten devoured. Even if not, considering what happened to every other walker in Alexandria, how did she get out? That was one of those moments designed to have an emotional impact that just didn't work at all for me based on the contrived logistics of the situation. I think they could have found a better way to do that - maybe the son is found keeping her in the basement of her house, because he just can't bring himself to finish her, or something like that.

The only bad part about the ending, is knowing that you would post about it and I'd miss Isla.

Can probably hand-wave it away by saying she was basically already dead anyway, and the Walkers tend not to go after the dead/almost dead.

I was thinking World War Z but yeah. It seems like a common trope to have them be uninterested in finishing people off who are already fucked. Or maybe Deanna mnaged to jump out a window, who knows.

Deus Ex Machina like this and Glen surviving ridiculous shit(twice in this season alone!) are excruciatingly annoying.

They said on Talking Dead that it has been a two month time skip. Later the show producers said they did a big time skip because spending the last few episodes of the season showing the survivors burying a couple hundred zombies and Rick holding a bedside vigil with Carl for a couple of weeks would make for some boring episodes.

You know, I get that reaction sometimes too. With the few episodes I've seen of The Talking Dead, many times it feels like they are doing damage control in regards to some bad writing instances.

I can see his point though. Which other series is able to rely on a subsequent program to explain things that weren't explained in the story?

I personally don't watch Talking Dead, so I am sure a lot of what doesn't make sense to me is explained. But wtf, it shouldn't be required viewing.

I didn't watch the Talking Dead. I figured out that there was a time skip. The exact amount of which was irrelevant. It's not rocket science.

Talking Dead isn't required. All it is is celebrities and cast members having the same water cooler conversations viewers have following the episode. Sometimes you get insider information, but really all you had to do was follow the context clues.

Yeah, context clues are important. Rick is creating a new notch on his belt. Carl is up and walking around. Denise and Tara are sleeping together. The memorial wall has dozens of new names etched on it. All indicators that a good amount of time has passed.

No shit Sherlock; I was asking for confirmation because Talking Dead continues after the live hour on TV as they have an Internet only after show.

Like my question stated; I didn't recall hearing that line on Talking Dead, I was probably on FB or some shit. Obviously some time had passed because of the cleanup, additional buildings, names on the wall, etc. I just didn't think it was MONTHS.

I just watched all of walking dead and don't have any clue what's going on. I wish I knew I had to watch this other talking dead show to make sense of it all.
