It is when they decide to dedicate an entire fucking episode to a side pleb like Tara. I love how her fat ass sloppily tried to sneak through the forest with her heavy ass breathing. Best part was the zombie sand trap. Then when she finally finds out that her other fellow fat lesbian lover got arrowed in the fucking face an entire season ago lmao, they DON'T EVEN have the decency to give her the screen time to mourn, instead finding these shitty ass glasses and skipping all that bad mourning period out.

Agreed. If I want deep philosophical thought and discussion, I'll watch Westworld or The Leftovers. Walking Dead is more of a popcorn show; it's not high art by any means, but it keeps me entertained each and every week*, and that's pretty much all it needs to do.

*Yes, even the slow bottled episodes like this one. I like character development more than the 'action' scenes more often than not.

I mean, the few times the show has actually gone a bit deeper, all you have to do is look to this thread to see people being confused about what the fuck they just saw because I guess they never took a literature class or something and never learned about imagery and symbolism and shit. Straight-forward action tends to suit this genre better, I think.

Better episode this week. More conflict brewing inside the Savior's camp. Carl doing more stupid shit, but I think he's about to see shit get real (again) and learn the consequences of his actions. Rosita was annoying with her little rant to Eugene. A coward? Did she not see him try to take one for the team in the finale with the RV? She's talking out of her ass. They both watched Abraham get his head bashed in. Eugene is just trying to play the game so no one else gets killed. Same as Rick.

I get the that Rosita, Carl, Michonne, and to a lesser, more dumb ass extent, Spencer and all mad about what happened. It just bugs me that they want to jump in guns blazing (orlack thereof) right away back at Negan. You see what him and his army are capable of, you've also been disarmed. Retaliation, on a proper scale, would take a long fucking time of planning. Learning the inner workings of their stronghold and slowly rebuilding an arsenal (have Eugene make and stockpile bullets) in secret should be the top two agendas. (At least Sasha is thinking straight and going the strategic route with Jesus) But you have these fools who just rush in because they can't get their anger in control. Basically, expecting logic from TWD. Yeah, I know.

I guess in the end it's all necessary for their stupidity to make Negan do something in retaliation, trigger crazy Rick out of retirement, and start the "all out war" arc. It's just a little frustrating to watch sometimes. The counterbalance to that, and what keeps me interested in the show still, is watching Negan punish said fools. I love JDM's performance, and watching him bring a great character to life. I will admit that I am looking forward to said coming arc, and watching crazy Rick, and crazy Carol do their thing again.

Regarding the preview for next weeks episode

I've read in various comments on that vid that Spencer gets gutted. It looks like that's the case with seeing Negan covered in blood in front of Rick. They show Rick crying at the end. I doubt those tears are for Spencer, and that maybe Judith is taken, something happens to Carl, or someone else pays the price.

Honestly it seems the safest place to kill Negan is right now while he's at alexandria. He's super exposed, has very few people with him. It seems like Negan's camp is all people that fear him because he has done terrible things to them so it seems most people's live would be made better without him. Bringing negan's head back on a stick is likely all that is needed to prevent any further conflict.

Making one bullet seems silly to me though, if you're going to the trouble of making one bullet why not make at least a full clip's worth. Just in case you happen to have a need for more than one.

i think rosita trys and fails with her one bullet, dies or something worse, eugene tells rick of the place he made the bullet and they spend the last half of the season making ammo there for a finale confrontation.

My vote is Dwight getting him out. That last discussion between him and his former wife seemed to hit him hard with the realization that they're doing nothing and their choice to deal with Negan is affecting others.
