I'm with audid on the whole shot in the leg bit. If he had shot him in the head he could have spared the guy from being eaten alive as well as gotten the supplies from him a lot easier.

The needless cruelty of it felt kinda forced just to make it more dramatic.

This side of Shane has been brewing for a while since season one, especially in the season 1 finale when he tried to rape Lori. He just hasn't been able to act on that side except in instances where it is just him and one other member of the group. It's that character development you guys keep bitching about.

Hopefully they find Sophia real soon because every minute that she's out there it becomes less plausible that a little girl that can't find her way back from a 100 yard jog can survive without a trace in the wild on her own without tools or wilderness survival knowledge. Even better, we find out that she was abducted by another hostile party. Either way, I'd like to see this get resolved or turn into something more entertaining.

I like how Shane and Daryl are becoming the most complex and interesting characters in the show.

Daryl and Shane are arguably the two most interesting characters right now. Like someone said, Shane has been in this downward spiral since S1 so it's going to be interesting to see how his interaction with Rick/Lori develops. Hope he pimp slaps Lori the next time she flip-flops on something with him.
