Funny, after I made that post I went to Barnes and Noble and a chick asked if the "rough edges" on MBP's are a problem. She was talking about the one she tested at Apple Store but mine is an old one so I've had no idea about those so called edges.

Anyways, she didn't have a Lacoste Polo, her shorts didn't look anything special and she was 7-8/10 so...I didn't bother Eagle Eye Shotting her.

    ..besides I'm taken so, haha

apple is like a club. you buy anything from them and you are "in"
ahaha, reminds me of Sony Vaio Club.

Back in...uh, 2003-2004? I was invited to a social club for Sony Vaio users. Activities included dinners, picnic and similar social events. I kept wondering...why? I mean, it is just a computer doesn't mean people there will have something in common!

Put your hand on YOUR mouse for a second. Take notice, if you have a normal mouse, how the tendon in your middle finger raises up to rest on the middle mouse wheel. Drag your finger back to scroll down while reading this post, then scroll up to continue reading.

Feel the pressure on the tendon behind your middle finger's knuckle?

Now move your mouse out of the way and put your middle finger down on your mouse pad. See how it naturally falls that direction without pressure internally on the tendon? Let me know when you get it.

Maybe I am misunderstanding you but making any scrolling motion with my middle finger, on my mouse or otherwise, puts pressure on the tendon.

Just resting on the mouse I feel no pressure on the tendon and I have a generic HP mouse.

Revolutionary would have been to have the pads that track your hands without you even having to touch it.

I'm sure Jobs (c.c) will invent that as well.

Sarcasm right? Since he's "revolutionizing" things by putting out something that already exists and the thing i just mentioned was already invented as well.

Jobs revolutionizes industries by standing upon the shoulders of giants. Sadly, not many are able to see this.

I guess it boils down to how you grip your mouse. My finger, middle and ring finger curve exactly the same way when I'm gripping my mouse, and since I'm never holding down either button while using the scrollwheel, I don't feel the pressure that people with terrible posture would. I only feel any kind of pressure if I keep my index/ring fingers straight and immobile while flicking the mousewheel. This is actually kind of uncomfortable and I don't know why anybody would use a mouse like this.

I'd be interested in a product like that if it was just the panel and not a full computer. There are many times I wish I could use sliding/swiping behavior on the desktop/windows/folders for UI usage over a mouse for simplicity.

    Apple Magic Trackpad first hands-on

So it's real, and... it's a trackpad. What seemed like it might have been pure rumor and some good Photoshopping just a short while ago has magically (ha ha!) transformed into reality. If you're wondering what the Magic Trackpad is like to use -- get ready for a shock. It feels just like using a slightly larger version of a MacBook or MacBook Pro pad. And we mean exactly, right down to the multitouch gestures and whole-pad click. Yes, it clicks. There's also a new gesture, if you're keeping track -- a three-finger move that lets you drag windows around (very helpful), though you give up the functionality of being to navigate stuff like iPhoto galleries with a swipe (it's an option you can toggle in preferences -- you have a choice). We're going to be doing some serious testing with the new peripheral, but for now, feast your eyes on the pics below.

they also came out with an official battery charger ~_~

God, that looks awesome. I love you JOBS! :D

Typical Maya post aside, I've invested in a Darkfield Logitech (100 bucks) a while ago and don't really have a reason to buy a trackpad. Its pretty awesome though, MBP trackpads are wonderful and it'd be great to have them on desktop/non MBP notebooks.

The trackpad does have one decent feature....at least you can use it lefthanded.

Of course I'm sure some future model will find a way to fuck that up though....

If this wasn't dubbed as "revolutionizing" whateverthefuck, it would just be "hey, you know those pretty slick Macbook trackpads? Well, if you'd prefer using one of those to a mouse on a desktop, here ya go!

    End of story.

Except a mouse is faster, more accurate, less strain on your hand...

This is a worthless product that will sadly sell millions because of the logo. It's made even worse by the fact that it's wireless, would have been a better product if they kept it wired to avoid burning money on batteries.

Granted this is Apple, and this let's them and others sell iChargers.
