Carpe Noctem LS (Shiva Server) Porting to XIV

Following the tradition of what we had on the Shiva server we are going to be looking for members to join the new XIV linkshell. This will be a standard "Company" becoming more specialized as time goes on. Many of the old members are already on board but we are always welcoming more. This will be casual at first moving quickly to a more "hardcore" play type once we know game mechanics and start assessing goals.

Almost all of our current / past members were NA late night players, so we will be trying to following the same time restraints. That is not to say if you cannot play late that you won't be welcome, but rather that most of our events at least on the weekends will be scheduled for evening to late night based on NA CST/EST times.

We are accepting players who can play at all times! In the beginning most "events" are going to be XPing and Quests. These should be easy enough to manage. Doing both during the daywalker times and late night crowds. We have had great officers that play(ed) XI during both times and ran things so this should not be an issue as they will be joining us in XIV. We all share the same goals, want to help each other out and most importantly have fun!

Just wanted to add that there appears to be another Carpe Noctem on this server. They are NOT affiliated or have anything to do with us. This was purely coincidence. I found their site through KI. No previous Officers or Leaders have any involvement with that shell.

Currently this is a non issue as Linkshell names cannot be seen and Carpe Noctem will be our Company Name anyways. However I wanted to get this out so there wouldn't be any confusion

exactly how late night is late est time for you guys? personally i'll be most likely be playing after 11pm-midnight est on days i got work.

I know most of us start anytime from 4 PM EST right after work and will play til 2 AM EST. Most events I am sure will start around 11pm-12 EST. Our Dynamis shell always started at 12 AM EST. On weekends is pretty open game. I know a lot of people that are playing now play between 8PM - 8AM.

But with the diverse amount of people and some of the changes our members have had (myself included) will probably run BIG events on weekends which may be either late night or split into 2 times and others throughout the week.

We are aiming to have 2 groups of people the late night which alot of the current members are and then the normal people who play like 5PM - 1AM. The overlap should help to make sure people always have someone to play with and a place they can truly call home.

Hard to say at this point I don't believe he will be making the switch (at least last I heard), so it will most likely be myself and Jomimi with help from the officers. With the job I have now it will give me time to run the site / updates / searches at work then be ready to play when I get home.

Just wanted to put out a quick update. We have a bunch of new members that have been joining. From the looks of it we will have smaller linkshells under the company name. One for Daytime players and One for Night. We may even do an events one. So feel free to join as this LS will be doing events for both Night and Day events!
