    Seeking Racing Game with 2 Player "Career Mode"

    I'm actively seeking a good racing game, for PS3 or Wii, that has the ability to allow 2 players to advance through a "Career Mode" so-to-speak. My girlfriend is really into the Need For Speed series and I want to be able to play against her in a mode that allows you to upgrade your car, participate in tournaments, race against the computer, earn rewards, etc. and not some lame exhibition single race every time.

    Any suggestions?

    Just split-screen in general would be nice.

    But as far as the topic goes, does anyone knoe if Split/Second has 2 player local career coop? Maybe Blur? I heard both were good games but idk if theyll work for the OP or not lol
