Here's to hoping that it will support the xbox360 controller (wired and wireless) out of the box and doesn't require a hacked driver lol.

Yes it does and .. SE sort the f'ing mouse controls out already. (hopefully the beta will surprise all, lets not hold our breath tho)

It's not about needing to use mouse. It's about the viable option to. While I was used to no mouse in XI and it never bothered me, the UI in XIV had me wishing a lot I could use mouse faster while buying, talking to npcs or so on. And with the horrible mouse in alpha it was... horrible >.<

Really? I've noticed no difference. The mouse cursor doesnt move as fast as it does in other games or on the desktop.

Besides... If you wanna play this game well - get a controller. You won't regret it.
