Losing my chat logs in Game?

happened to me a long time ago, and I realized it was my ram was low, after upgrading ram it fixed it, this occured over a long period of time, so there were many reboots/restarts in there

I recently upgraded my ram and this problem still pops up here and there. It seems to just be an issue of Windower not being able to handle high lag situations.

I get it, usually in something like dynamis, and it's annoying as shit because I tend to scroll up chatlogs constantly to check what roll numbers I'm on and if I need to double-up. Sometimes zoning fixes it, sometimes just a log-out/in.

People saying spellcast is causing this, I had the issue anytime I was using AddToChat commands within spellcast. This caused my chat log to go blank whenever i opened it. Check to see if your xml's use this command anywhere.


Also its common like everyone else said with 2 boxing.

i've been 2boxing for a long time and its only been in the last month that i've had my chat logs dissapear. mixing has always been a problem.

I used to get this issue from time to time long before spellcast even existed, and I didn't 2box at the time. Could just be windower (though I'm not saying it wouldn't be cause by the 2 aforementioned things)

edit: It looked exactly like those 2 screenshots posted. Chat log looked fine until you maximized it, then everything would disappear

I never had this problem until I started using SpellCast. Now every time I'm in an alliance setting, it happens fairly shortly after starting. I use KParse on a separate monitor now so I can keep up with rapid chat.

This happens to me from time to time, and I don't use spellcast(lolme). Kind of sucks but like it's been said already, a simple log out(to character select screen, not full windower restart) -> log in fixes it. It just sucks because it often happens when I'm doing something where I can't do the log out -> log in thing right away or even relatively soon. :/

The game did this to me tonight. Midway through farming up swift belt pop items, I went to maximize the chat window and it cleared out my whole chat history. Kinda annoying, since I was trying to see if someone lotted on a key, but not end of world. Again, for me logoff and back on fixed the issue.

I had logger, spellcast, lightluggage, recast and a a few other plugins, not dual-boxing.

Happened to me while I was doing FoV in Cape Terriggan last night. I don't use SpellCast, just had TPParty, LightLuggage, and Recast on. Relogging fixed it for me. Here's a screenshot of what it's doing, and yes, it's a pain in the ass.

Kind of on topic, another glitch keeps happening to me the last few days. I go to search>area and pick a region to search in, the menu resets and instead of listing 30? regions first, it lists all 300? areas. Anyone else have a problem like this using windower or a specific plugin?
