Why would you pirate a free demo?
Demo was awesome. I'm definitely going Rogue once it releases, Rogue gameplay was damn fun.
I just hope it runs as smooth on PS3 as it does on PC, otherwise I will be a sad panda. Can't download PS3 demo until tomorrow :/

Countdown right there on the site.
The combat system is so much better, which was the only gripe I had about Origins. Played the demo through on PS3, and it seemed to run just fine. Also, Flemeth is pretty badass. I hope we learn more about her/she is involved in a larger capacity in this one.
The only thing that has me a tad concerned is something I read in an early review. I'm sure it will be okay, just a curious decision. Which is supposedly most of the game takes place only in Kirkwall/Deep Roads. I'm sure there's a ton of shit to explore there, and over te course of 10 years a lot can change. There aren't too many other settings according to the review. I loved all the different settings in DA:O. I guess we'll see in < 2 weeks.
There's a counter on the call to arms page

Should get to one million by the end of the week, supposed to be a mAss Effect announcement by the end of the week too.
Oh god the animations. So terrible
I really wish they would use higher poly models too. The textures look so fantastic on their own (i.e. Isabella's head scarf), but the models look so rough and jagged (like "I can see the square edges" jagged). Wouldn't really care if it was on PS3/360, but on PC? I'd gladly give up shit like SSAO for some more detail on the main character models.
At least combat is fun. Rogue plays a little too warrior-ish with the skills they have so far (i.e. having Dash+AoE Knockdown...that just feels like it should have been a WAR skill instead), but I guess I'll wait and see till retail is out. I'm guessing most of the skills aren't even shown right now, given the tiny size of the trees. Probably stuff like an "Advanced DW Tree" once you master the basic one or something like that. Hope there's some good room for min/maxing instead of just ending up with a mishmash of abilities. Loved the ridiculous backstab/crit setups you could do on DA:O.
I didn't see the jaggies but then again I have 8x AA on which just may be fixing that. Combat is indeed awesome in this one. It seems like most classes get some kind of AOE knockback because they made Mind Blast stagger everyone (I can't speak to warrior because I haven't played it yet).
Now I just need to get through DAO before this comes out, just bought Ultimate Edition last Friday and working my way through it![]()
The demo running in DX11 actually only uses DX10 features, the retail version will support adaptive DoF, tessellation, displacement mapping, aditional light sources, contact hardening shadows and widespread cloud shadows. Hi-res textures will also be in the retail PC version.
The site is in dutch, but this guy explains it: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost...&postcount=944
Has example pictures in the link too.
Newbie question about DLC content on PS3, because I never really bought anything up until now.
In DA2 case, stuff you buy online is tied to your PS3 account, your own PS3 ID or to your EA account?
EA account keeps track of all of your DLC and your PSN ID is linked to the EA account.
For example, when I got DA:O for PC I registered the blood dragon armor to my EA account. Since my Gamertag is linked to my EA account it allowed me to download the armor to my 360 for Mass Effect 2.
So a page or so back a few people were saying the tactical view is gone....... I know I asked awhile ago if this was true and was told its still there for the pc.
So is it in there or not?
Well it's zoomed back a good amount. There isn't the all the way zoomed out overhead tactical view. It's about about as far back as in DA1. The last setting before you go to tactical. It really works for this game. Tactical really isn't missed at all.
^ I see. Fair enough I'll assume Bioware knows what the hell they are doing....
does anyone know if they did away with that friendly fire nonsense from teh first game for all versions and difficulty levels of DA2? I appreciated the extra level of strategy not normally present for magic users in action RPGs, but playing as a mage in DA2 is a LOT more fluid and smooth so I know it'd probably take away from that feeling.
I almost always pick mage characters in games but DA2's combat system was amazing, the way you can chain your staff blasts and spells (combined with smarter targeting for your AoE selection) makes playing as a mage feel significantly less stand-back-and-watch than the first game. Personally I feel like it really puts Fable's combo magic system to shame in terms of efficiency/speed and overall fun.
I am going to give Rogue and Warrior a try for sure before teh game comes out, but I'd definitely recommend trying out mage to people who usually pick rogue/warrior-types because they're more active and involved.
