    Yay!
I need to go look this up, thanks for the post OP.
And to OP, Awakening was good it was just too quick and not enough, makes you want for more. I did it so quick that I thought I messed up some where and skipped a route.

Serious Dragon Age Awakenings Spoiler stuff below

    Spoiler: show

It leaves things open that you should have the time to develop in the game, since the higher-more advanced options are purchasable but there is no time to do it really. I felt like I needed more storyline and time to do things. I even tried starting it at the lowest possible character level to see if I would have time within story line to do things but I didn't.

The managing of landlord's pleas/local politics and handling of army duties, prisoner punishment was really cool.

Augmenting the fort with pyromaniac dwarven masonry, souvenir/furniture and the feeling of being in charge of all of that was nice.

Finding merchants for the fort was cool.

    Ohgren's return was really nice.

Found no real option for romance other than getting stats maxed (no sex or cutscene outside of the main hall area talk onry). Original game's style of talk in addition to the random conversation ques would be better.

Clicking on random shit for character development was cool but it was too random and I preferred being able to talk to my party mates any time not just when they had something to say.

Hope they do not continue this style with DA 2.

Wanted more interaction with Pinhead's flamboyant brother "The Architect" lol.

All in all it needed more development so perhaps those characters especially Architect, Justice and Nathaniel Howe will be in DA 2.

Finally I really wanted the mentioned continuation of my character's love affair with Zevran to have some play time in the story line and it did not beyond a written description of what happened between them in the ending summary. Wanted more King Alastair plot line too.

Still it was worth it, just a serious tease.

also if you can say, does the PC version seem like it will be significantly better than the console ones again?

This is more of a general question...I bought the first DA and all it's expansions on the Xbox, but as much as I love the game, I'm not a fan of that particular version and prefer the PS3. Is my character info stored on the EA servers or not? I'm assuming that is way to much to hope for, but the ability to swap consoles and retain my character data would be nice

Yeah im not sure how that would work out, doesnt seem plausible, you could could shoot an email to the mods on the comminuty site and see if they can answer that, I honestly have no clue, I have nothing to do with that side of their business.

I still have yet to finish Dragon Age and the exp, guess I'll have to snag a free copy soon, so I can finish that up before two comes out. I havent played in quite a while, I was really turned off to how the rogue played, but its been tweaked and patched since then.

Most of the time when I played rogue, I didn't bother backstabbing. Dual wield + haste and whatever else and you'll be mowing down everything, especially with high dex you'll hardly get hit. Was pretty cool. Still, mage is by far the most fun.

Dragon Age II takes a page from the Mass Effect playbook, limiting player characters to a male or female human version of the game's main character, Hawke.

In Dragon Age: Origins, players could choose from four different races and three different character classes, with each combination coming complete with its own playable origin story.

Dragon Age II is not Dragon Age: Origins.

Instead of multiple origins, there is only one. From the official press release:

"Dragon Age 2 thrusts players into the role of Hawke, a penniless refugee who rises to power to become the single most important character in the world of Dragon Age. Known to be a survivor of the Blight and the Champion of Kirkwall, the legend around Hawke's rise to power is shrouded in myth and rumor. Featuring an all-new story spanning 10 years, players will help tell that tale by making tough moral choices, gathering the deadliest of allies, amassing fame and fortune, and sealing their place in history. The way you play will write the story of how the world is changed forever."

BioWare's Chris Priestly confirms on the forums that, like Commander Shepard from the Mass Effect series, players will be able to create either a male or female Hawke. Like Mass Effect, this should allow for a deeper story, while allowing characters to refer to the main character by name. I'm sure emotional engagement has something to do with it as well.

Like many fans in the forums, this decision rubs me the wrong way. While I enjoyed playing my own Commander Shepard in Mass Effect, my Dragon Age character felt much more like an extension of myself than Shepard did, even if it was a female elf.

Multiple races in DA2? [BioWare Forums - Thanks Chris!]

Im excited for this, really liked DA:O. I think making the story expand over the course of many years can be a great idea, but depends how gimmicky it is. I'm a bit hesitant that the game will essentially be broken down into "X" chapters (W/o them calling it that), where each one end's w/ a CS that shows a year pass or something

It'll be a shame not to be able to play as other races, I kinda liked how sooner or later your origin stories come back into focus (unless you play a dalish elf, then not so much). I wonder what'll happen in regards to your DA1 character? Are they cemented in fame? Would be cool if DA2 makes mention/reference to your old characters and party. Even better if it expands on the effects your decisions had on the world after finishing DA1 (like who you crowned in orzammar).

Bioware need to make some use of CGI Cutscenes in the sequel.

I appreciate that using the in-game engine prevents the pacing from being interrupted and doesn't break up the immersion but some scenes could have been a lot better with some good CGI.

Leliana's song in the camp was a very nice touch but the in-game scene didn't do it any justice.

You can pretty much take it as fact that the PC version will be better. PS3 version getting keyboard and Mouse support would help alot (since that control scheme was soooooooooooooo much better), but modding options available on PC will still put it on top.

Probably much less of an advantage if the controls play out the same on PS3 with KB/mouse. I honestly wasn't too impressed with the mods available in Dragon Age compared to what I saw in the Elder Scroll series and Neverwinter Nights.

Big titty Morrigan is entertaining for only so long.

People passing on the PC version of this for the K/M PS3 set up should just not bother playing this game. Are we really going to go down this PC = PS3 road again? I mean seriously? lol

Anyway, prepaid for mine today. I cant wait, I loved the replay value that first one had.
