Anyone know where I can find the Varterral for the herbalist quest??

There's an xbox achievement titled, "that thing has legs", with a description of "slay a varterral". If my video game intuitions are correct, and they always are, this most likely means that you have to slay a varterral for the herbalist quest. Given that the description indicates that there are more than one varterral to slay, I'd guess you just have to visit all the areas in your given time frame and you'll eventually come across one.

P.S.- I'm just messing around ... 10 hours into the game and loving it, but not much to talk about unfortunately. I'm still in year 1.

Yeah if you go about in DA:O with Zevran and Sten in your party Zevran will comment on the fact that Sten is not actually Sten's name but his rank or something like that in the Qunari army.

So, this save corruption thing... has there been any kind of possible causal link as to why it happens? and by what you said, if it happens, it happens to all of your saves, so making extras wont help any?

better be a fix for this problem very soon. Is one even possible?

While this game is pretty awesome so far, I am kind of disappointed with Anders. He was really awesome in Awakening, but not only is he now gay, but not funny at all. WHERE'S SER POUNCE-A-LOT

I kited the fuck out of him while constantly summoning my mabari bloodhound. Playing as an archer rogue with points in assassin, I just kept running around while using assassinate on every cooldown.

So far I'm having a lot more fun with this game on PC. All the bosses thus far have been pretty great and all my story concerns are taken care of as the general story progresses.

I like being a mage, but how is being a rogue? Because I found out the person who dies at the start is diff depending on if your a mage or not.. and I want my sister to live. Id be a ranger.

also, how is hard mode for starting off? (since im prolly gonna restart as a rogue unless you all say its not that fun)

Isabela does indeed come back and return to your party if you are romancing her. I have no idea all the ways it can go if you aren't, but shes back in my party and im happy :D
