That jerk of a Warden Commander back in Ferelden made him give Ser Pounce-a-lot away. He actually said so back when I first met him in the clinic minus the jerk part really but he implied it.

Question about Bethany choices

So.. if I have her become a Warden I lose her until the end of the game, but how long do i lose her if she goes to the Circle of Magi? Which one is considered the better choice? Warden is cooler, but don't want to lose her until the end of the game. Opinions!?

Just did the same fight in the demo. Jesus christ how the hell are you supposed to kill the ogre/darkspawn in a sane manner on nightmare? >_< I died 5 times then after I just used an FFXI RDM solo strategy and just kite- > freeze the mobs then the ogre, while every time it stopped to pick up a rock i'd run the mobs in the right position so they take the AOE. Took like 30minutes >_>;;;

I want friendly fire turned on in normal so I can get off this mode >_<

I played it with Rogue + Bethany and it was close, but managed to do it on the first try. Have rogue keep hate while you kill adds. Once they're all down, evasion tank his ass. As long as you're careful about not being hit, Evade, Backstab and general Hit n' Run while Bethany does her thing will eventually kill him. You don't have to completely kite full time unless you're like 1 hit from dying, his attacks are easy to dodge.

All three classes are fun, finding it hard which one to choose on the 360 version, I played Rogue on PC, should probably play as a different class, but it is so much fun, probably just playthrough the game with each class, unlike the first the combat is fun with all 3 where as in Origins I found playing warrior boring.

How the hell do you kill that golem boss in the Deep Roads?

I've tried like 5 times with my current party:
- Hawke (Rogue : Dual Wield/Subterfuge/Shadow)
- Aveline (Shield/Defender/Guardian)
- Merrill (Elemental/Entropy)
- Varric (Archery/Marksman)

And I'm really having trouble with this guy. He's resistant to every single debuff under the sun, so I can't get any use out of Horror, Mind Blast or Hex of Torment, which means all I can really do is stick Aveline on it, Stealth/Backstab/Winter's Grasp whenever they're up, and spam regular attacks the rest of the time. Lowest I've gotten him was ~40% HP. The damn thing just has way too much fucking HP and I eventually just run out of potions and stamina. Also doesn't help that anyone other than Aveline gets two shotted (more of an issue for Hawke than for the other two, due to his AoEs).

Is there some better way of dealing with this? Playing on Hard and haven't had anywhere near this much trouble with any other bosses so far.

Use action mode. When he runs to the center of the room and starts to glow to do the aoe, get all your party members behind the pillar. Keep all your ranged dd's off to the side as far away as possible. I used the same setup replace Merril with Bethany and got it my third try. When he falls to the ground, quickly dispatch the minions and go to town on his body. You should do enough damage to push him close to going into the same phase shortly, and running around avoiding damage while doing a little bit of ranged to him should be enough to get him going. I'm not sure what to tell you if you're not doing enough damage when he's in pieces on the ground. Aoe's are key to getting the minions down fast. Other than that, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Last Descent set bonus was disappointing. Finally got the last piece in the deep roads and the armor I usually wear is better.

I've been doing that, I just couldn't keep the fight going on for long on 6 health potions. I tried just letting Hawke die and saving them all for Aveline, but that slowed my damage down way too much and it ended up killing me faster than I could kill it.

Ended up just cheesing my way through the fight on Normal Mode. Maybe I'll try it again on Hard mode later :/

I like that you have infinite respec's. It's nice to be able to try out diff spec's or like 2 and change at will. Only wish you could save some presets!

I am guessing I have a decent amount of time left in the game? I went through the first timeskip (well, second I guess) and am in Kirkwall for 4 years now. I have to investigate the Quanari. I'm doing everything I find, and it adds a decent amount of time to the game. I'm also guessing there's probably 2 more timeskips? I wouldn't imagine the game goes from 4 > 10. I am more assuming it goes 4 > 7 > 10 or something like that. I've about 18 hours on the game and am not rushing by any means necessary .
