Yeah I do my best not to read those forums for anything, like I said, its bursting at the seams with insufferable idiots. Still not worse than some of the forums for XIII on the fan sites.

Assuming it wasn't answered by the reserved for sustained abilites, occasionally, and I'm still not sure the reason, I will randomly become injured during combat without actually dying. It happened a decent amount in the first year of the game and I know I never died, because Unstoppable popped at the end of the year.

(And yeah, I second the possible reserved Stamina)
There are some moves that mobs can do that will give you an Injury, I think. I know the many legged creature has a rock drop move that does it, but that's the only one that I have noticed.

    Edit: BEAT TO PUNCH YEAH.

I haven't been on the bioware forums, but I have to admit, I do think the game would be better if they hadn't dumbed down a lot of shit. I think that's the current trend in the sequel market though. =/

Just to give you an idea, I thought of creating this topic, just to see how much attention it could get. My post is legitimate, it's how I feel about the game. There are a few positives, but the overwhelming negativity is astounding.

Dear Lord, it's an ambush in that thread.
I guess I'm alone in this but this is my favorite Bioware game. I liked the first one but I like this one hell lot more. I agree it's underwhelming from a sequel standpoint. There are many more things they could've improved on (I would've liked more finishing moves, different dragons, etc). Also, I couldnt stand Mass Effect at all, so I guess this puts me in the dumb people category.

I beat it my first time this morning, and largely agree with Odesseiron. I'd like to add a few though: I like that that finally tell us what we're getting when we receive an item instead of "Received Item," but then they took away the ability to inspect items off of corpses and out of chests? I had like 10 "Belts" and "Rings" at various points in the game with no clue what the stats were without having to open the menu and look. I feel they need to go back to the way Origins allowed you to pick specialties too. Anders was the only viable healer since they nerfed healing potion's reload time, and he got annoying to me very quickly. Lastly, whoever does their programming or QC needs to be shot. All 3 Dragon Age games have been glitchy as hell. I had Merill's companion quest glitch on me, so I couldn't see what panned out without reading about it. I also had 2 or 3 side quests glitch too.

Overall was a good game though, if they fix the few things (some they changed inexplicably from origins) they got wrong DA3 could be amazing.

How do you become the Viscount? I don't have a clue what options would bring that to happen.
Same with earning the Arishok's respect. I'd like to attempt to do those for my 2nd playthrough.

I definitely preferred DA2 over DA:O. The new combat system was very fun. I didn't mind the lack of companion customization at alll; it kept some of their individuality, I thought (wouldn't want to change Isabela's outfit, even for upgrades).

    Spoiler: show
I will say that I felt the ending was extremely abrupt. Not only did it occur with no substantial lead-in--just some random letter from your desk--but it wasn't "final." Even though Kirkwall was wrecked, I still figured there would be a little more to the game and then some closure. I just sat there with a "What?" expression on my face as the credits rolled. The game suddenly felt quite short, even though it was an okay length. There were so many plot-points left untouched.

Oh, and I had somehow missed getting Fenris in Chapter 1, so I kept expecting to get him. rofl

Two minor things I disliked (I would have mentioned the reused textures, but that's been covered): 1) male Hawke. Not only did he seem to have less personality than female Hawke, but he could use a fucking beard trim; he looks 40. 2) Elves being creepy gaelic aliens. The qunari's redesign was stellar, but the elves look ridiculously bad. I was shocked that they were able to make Zevran passable-looking at best, given how atrocious the other elves looked.

Well they could easily do something with the outfits. Allow us to change the armor, but have a specific design in mind. So for example with Isabela, you could have her keep the same style outfit, but just make it look a bit different with other armor equipped. Even though the robes were pretty awful in DA:O, something like that. Each character would have their own specific design when you changed armor.

And yeah, I loved the quanari in this game. I really wish you were able to get one in your party.

well, their armor can change, at least once lol. I'm not really sure if it only changes when you enter a romance with them, or when you fully upgrade their armor, but I noticed my Merrill changed from her green robe stuff to some white chainmail looking garment.

You can't. You get that achievement simply by siding with the templars from what I've heard.

The only one I had change was Anders after doing some of his quests.

Hm, as to the forums.. I think only the most vocal people would actually bother to try and post about how much they hated it on the forums.. That's the tough part about it. I do feel that the ending was quite.. abrupt, too... But I hope that any DLC that they come out with would help it. The elves in this game, yeah, they looked reallllly odd.

They could have done a "looks separate from armor thing", Have their personal outfits, but you can equip whatever stat boosts you want... But I actually liked not having to scour my armors and try and equip the new guy popped into my group after I was already dirt poor buying the best stuff for my current guys.. Or playing "Ok, who gets this chest piece first!". Little sad that we don't get to equip their armor, but overall I didn't mind.

The glitches, when they happend, did suck massively.. I had it lock like 5 times over the whole game. Luckily, I save like noone's business, so I didn't lose anything, but still a pain. I also got merril permalocked into my group after doing her companion quest in act 3.. Luckily it reset it when I visited my house.

    Qunari:
    Spoiler: show
I think you have to just talk straight to the arishok, and after cleaning out the qunari packs at the cove go back and talk to him, and tell him you've killed lots of qunari.. Think it was a bottom left choice.

Your companions change outfits after you finish their personal quests.

I did all of Isabela's stuff as far as I know and never saw her outfit change.
